I will be curious to see how he finishes the season. It's still very early. Usually, you like a player like him to spend at least another year in college. He does have the benefit of playing on a stacked line, on a top team, but in general... I've been impressed with him.
Definitely want to see him spend another year (maybe even 2, but I think he could be ready after next season) in Minnesota. No need to rush him.

Most the 2004’s are really shining as teenage freshmen - it was a special class of the USNTDP for good reason. Shame Nazar has been out because he’d be right up there too.

I feel like last year's USNTDP crop was a bit underrated as a whole. A lot of them are having great freshman seasons right now and snuggerud is up there for one of the strongest.

I don't see the reason to rush him. I'd let him go back a 2nd year and if he continues to excel then bring him over when his season finishes.

He's looked really good, but there is no doubt that being on a line with Knies and Cooley has helped, nvm an excellent D lineup, and overall team.

I wonder how well he'd be doing on a lesser team, and line.

No doubt that line benefits from each other, but it's not like he's the 3rd passenger along for the ride, he has the most goals and points of the bunch. The WJC is going to be a big opportunity for him, probably on the top line with Cooley.

no doubt he's carrying his own weight, if not more. Coolety has started to look better recently, but early on i'd say that Knies and Snuggerud were the stronger players, for sure. Both project pretty well as NHL'ers, because of their size and strength.

My point is that the point totals for all of them are somewhat inflated because of how good the line and team is. That's all. Nothing Snuggerud can do about it.

Put another way, if Snuggerud was playing for WIS, he'd probably have less points.

Just wanted to give my boy Jimmy bump. Assuming he signs after his college season, the Blues forward group is gonna be in an interesting state of flux pending what happens with Tarasenko and ROR. Obviously what happens to Tank is what will affect him more, and most Blues fans assume he’s as good as gone one way or another.

Unless he blows the doors off in camp (again assuming he turns pro) I figure he’ll probably start in the AHL. But it’s exciting to see the progress he’s made

He's a Minnesota kid so I'd be surprised if he left the Gophers after 1 season, especially if he thought the AHL was an option. There is enough he can work on and improve in his sophomore year and if he's still performing like he is, sign him after next season. I could see him at 6'2"+ and 200 lbs after his sophomore season with another 1.5 seasons of weight training.

Tied with Cooley for team high in points with 7 (4g) after group play.

Thought he should have went much higher during the draft (had him top 15). The blues really know how to pick players in the 20s (Thompson, Thomas and now Snuggerud).

I’m getting real excited about this kid. Amazing awareness, skill in tight spaces, and a lethal shot. I think he has big time potential.

Yeah plus his dad or Grandpa played for the gophs, can't remember which one. I'd be very surprised if he left after 1 year but who knows. If knies didn't, I doubt he would. Curious if Cooley stays one more tho....
