Is going to get over-drafted because he played with Cooley. Him being stuck to Cooley's hip probably hurt Logan's overall production with his paltry finishing ability.
Hate his hockey IQ. He is singularly puck focused and unable to read his linemates.
Yeah right now theyre playing together with Knies. Snuggerud was unlucky last year. He should have had more goals than he did but had quite a low shooting percentage compared to his peers (his shot is not an issue at all). Snuggerud also did a lot of heavy lifting for Cooley last year. Allowed cooley to play more of his loose game. I dont think he has low IQ at all, I would personally say thats a strength of his.OOOF. Actually a ton of OOOOOF all over page 1.
Are Cooley and Snuggerud playing together now? Not sure. But Snuggerud has 6-3-9 in 8 games and the guy he apparently relied on his entire life to get where he has gotten is sitting at a respectable 2-5-7 in the same amount of time.
Has he looked quicker now than with USNTDP? Great to hear he's doing well. Although I didn't watch tons of USHL last year I always felt he's being underrated. Had him #14 on my draft list.11 sog last night too. This kid is good and was really being really underrated compared to the other USNTDP players of last year.
As i mentioned in a post above, he was extremely unlucky when playing USHL teams last year, only scoring 6 goals (with 20 assists) in 26 games. He already has more goals in the NCAA in just 9 games.
He plays with Cooley and Knies, so his having more points than them seems a bit on the random side, but I've been a big fan of his so far. He definitely holds his own with both of those guys.Snuggerud continues to plug along.
14 points in 13 games, with 9 goals. Leads Minnesota in both points and goals, ahead of notable players like Cooley and Knies.
This guy was barely talked about and so underrated from last years USNTDP crop. Hes got smarts and a great shot.
Wdym random side?He plays with Cooley and Knies, so his having more points than them seems a bit on the random side, but I've been a big fan of his so far. He definitely holds his own with both of those guys.
Good question. Depends on if he continues to progress.Think StL signs him at the end of his season?
They should give him a 2nd year if he wants one. Same with Arizona and Cooley.Think StL signs him at the end of his season?
Agreed, no reason to rushThey should give him a 2nd year if he wants one. Same with Arizona and Cooley.
And I'm selfish. There's already going to be a pretty big exodus with Knies and all the defensemen. Need some talent to stick around.Agreed, no reason to rush
I didn't mean it as a slight. Just that I'm not sure I'd take anything in particular out of it, as far as him being better than the other two, or if he had slightly fewer points, him being worse than the other two.Wdym random side?
I know they play together, so it speaks volumes to me that hes out producing both. You look at that line on paper and before this year close to 100% people are likely callin him a passenger and a leech. Hell there was someone in this thread right before the draft saying that he was just leeching off of Cooley and actually hurt Cooley stats. Not often the "third best" player on a line ends up leading that line in points and goals.
To be fair Gauthier is off to a very strong start with BCI always said I liked the idea of picking Snuggerud 20-30 a lot more than picking Cutter Gauthier top-15
Little did I know Gauthier would go top 5
I will be curious to see how he finishes the season. It's still very early. Usually, you like a player like him to spend at least another year in college. He does have the benefit of playing on a stacked line, on a top team, but in general... I've been impressed with him.Underrated (at least with respect to the coverage on this board) season thus far for Snuggerud, leading Minnesota in goals (10), and points (20) in 16 games.
