That can't be true. Is it?
I thought he was lazy.
I mean there have been dozens of posts here lately with disrespectful, callous and downright vicious language declaring Kunitz "lazy".

Guess he was hurt all along??
And tried to play through it?

lol maybe you should wait to see if his play changes at all when he comes back before jumping up on the highest horse in the west

I thought he was playing well too. He could be an asset for this team as he plays a support game that would help either Sutter or Goc.

Someone needs to make a meme...

"gets called up from the minors to replace injured player. gets injured"

He looked lazy. He played lazy. If he was hurt, he should have not been playing. Now he's not playing so he can get healthy. Woohoo.

I get it that hockey players prided themselves on toughness, but if you're not helping the team you need to sit. And it's especially infuriating for this team to do it. You'd think they'd have learned something all these years about taking time to fully evaluate a player who mentions a problem. Even worse that it's Nov/Dec. Tough it out in the playoffs, not now, we're not a team scrambling to get in the playoffs.

I'm sorry he's hurt, but I'm not giving him the benefit of the doubt. I say he's pretty much done unless and until he proves otherwise. Unless of course his foot has been broken since the Olympics.

if you go 14-12 months on this board, the same things we're saying about Kunitz now were said then.

Maybe his foot has been hampering him, but the guy's work ethic and legs have been on the decline for a while. He got some of it back last year as the year went on, but eventually the tank is going to empty.

Yeah. If Kunitz had suddenly started playing like this at some point this season it would be different, but he was bad after the Olympics and he largely started the season like this. And if there were other injuries to explain that then he can't stay healthy.

Who comes up from WBS to replace Bort? Dumo? Harrington?

Martin-Maatta
Ehrhoff-Despres
Scuderi-Dumolin/Harrington

WBS looks like they'll have a smaller D corp this weekend;

Harrington/Dumolin-Samuelsson
Pouliot-D'Agostino
McNeil-Chorney
Boak/Goers

Wonder what Wheeling looks like.

Dumolin is already up? He was recalled yesterday, but didn't play in last night's game.

Soooo...I haven't seen the last few games...who the hell is Wilson?

Late round pick, has been surprisingly effective in WBS and is one of our more offensively talented guys down there. Played 4 odd minutes and is now out for a couple weeks.

At least makes more money this year than he probably would have if he'd not be injured yesterday.

And yes, Dumoulin was called up yesterday before the game as well (oddly enough) in case Bortuzzo wasn't able to go...he'll almost certainly slide in the next couple games. Wilson was up for his great play in the AHL and Dumoulin has been even better.

I'm all for rewarding great play in the AHL for short-term call-ups.

You forgot to mention the part where he gets a shoulder injury from putting the jersey on for the first time.

He tries to put the jersey on and breaks his arm, someone else tries to put his jersey over him and gets a groin injury, Adams puts it on him and....silence...

Uh... depressing and generally downtrodden. Whatever that looks like.

Source: I grew up there.

Hasn't been the same since the mills closed and the drinking age went from 18 to 21. Number one import used to be Pa teenagers, IIRC. Too bad, geographically, it's kind of a nice setting.

It is. There are still some nice spots.

Further downstate is much nicer, though. As far as beautiful scenery goes.

Sorry to go OT for a sec.

Uh... hopefully Dumoulin does... well?

at one time it had some really nice scenery in spots, that I enjoyed immensely,. if you know where to go...or at least that's what I was told. for some reason I don't remember too much of that time.:)
