They were doing so well after pre-season, too minus cancer and blood clots and the inevitability of a Beau Bennett injury.

No idea. He just disappeared in the second period. It wasn't until the third that anyone noticed he wasn't on the bench.

I mean there have been dozens of posts here lately with disrespectful, callous and downright vicious language declaring Kunitz "lazy".
Guess he was hurt all along??

That just means he fits right in.
While it's unfortunate that Kunitz is injured, hopefully his play this season can be attributed to the injury and not just a general decline.

Yepp. I look at the broken foot as good news. Gives me hope that he's not just playing terrible hockey.
If we are mentioning prospect injuries Sundqvist had to be helped of the ice last week (about 2 min in to the highlights). He came back the next game and got 1+1, but still. Very penguins.

He looked lazy. He played lazy. If he was hurt, he should have not been playing. Now he's not playing so he can get healthy. Woohoo.

Not only that.... but people keep consistently ignoring the fact that he's been playing largely the same crappy way spanning well back into last season. If he's been playing through a foot injury for 50+ games (and it was bad enough to linger all offseason, somehow) then I guess I'm impressed. And also have a bridge to sell you.
Trust me, I hope we get the old Kunitz back more than anyone. But he's long in the tooth and has played a very physical brand of hockey his whole career up until the last couple of seasons. Do the math.

I don't know... I mean he's no spring chicken anyway. Any injury that inhibits his mobility is pretty bad news IMO. We'll see how it goes once he comes back I guess.
