I dont think drouin would be able to play berubes style. I am afraid he would get here and then not play.

Blueston what about

Drouin josh brook 2021 1st

For tarasenko

That's a 6'2" rhd nhl ready to take boots spot
2021 1st 30ova to get a second prospect probably long term
And drouin a reclamation project.

I am on the fence with that but the value is there.
This is absolutely BRUTAL for STL.

We’re screwed. Wherever he goes he will be determined to prove hes still it it now that he’s finally healthy. I doubt we get much in return.

If he had signing bonus this coming season, his contract might be attractive to teams that have cap space if the Blues covered the bonus and trade happened after. However, that $9.5M of actual money is something else for other teams to consider. Good news is it drops to $5.5M the following season.

It won't be easy to find a fit IMO but there will be lots of conversations

How many teams does he have on his NTC list? Full NTC? That might make it trickier

I would agree if there was no flap cap or injury concerns at play. Bookmark it. Lets circle back and compare when/if he gets traded.

Is he finally past his injuries? Possible but it's something that will stick on him until he plays a full season again.

Yes it will I bet army already has several offers depending on full medical work up from that teams doctors. It's tarasnko. Like I said watch his last 10 nhl 4 playoffs and 5 or 6 international games. Until you and every othe we nay sayer does this you can't say he isn't good.

Eberle for Tank - nothing else added on both sides?

or do Isles need to add a B prospect or pick?

Or does Hickey (with intention of buyout) attached to Eberle work too?

I'm not a nay sayer and have not said he is not good. Interested depending on price to acquire. I guess it's another situation like Patch were other teams circle around like vultures looking to acquire for cheap. It happens unfortunately

I think his cap hit and NTC is the bigger challenge for the Blues vs he now sucks. Forget and ignore about he now sucks narrative. I hate that BS

So 82 games then it is considered non issue. So not 35

That's fine, but even with all the warts, a late 1st and an above average prospect while also eating Drouin's contract isn't something STL should be looking to take for Tarasenko. That is a bottom of the barrel return

Don't be sensitive about it. I'm just speaking to what the general comments or concerns would be in terms of you getting the full value you think you deserve. He don't suck but the other team interested is going to hold back a little compared to if you were trading him 3 years ago.

Context is important and flat cap is a major factor. It appears very low and like I said. Feel free to book mark it. We can compare later how bad it is

I don’t beef Eberle. However, if he came here he’d be our 3RW, so I think he’s better off staying in Long Island. Didn’t Brock Nelson play LW before JT left? I’d love him next to ROR-Perron.

He is also healthy and nor injured. Had 2 goals in 4 playoff games tore it up in international but nobody wants to talk about that they just want to beat the drum of damaged goods. Then say he would be awesome for my team. But he is damaged so we give you poop you take it. Lol
I know it’s not fair to say he is finished but still , 4 playoff games and one tournament doesn’t take away all fears that he might not return to form or he might get hurt again .It’s hard because if he is healthy and regains his from he is elite. If he gets hurt or his game declines then it’s a hard pill to swallow at 7.5 mil x2 (9 mil or 9.5 mil?in actual next year) High risk but very high possible reward as well.
It will take a teams GM with a lot of balls to make a good offer

Brutal for mtl too
lmao. no it isn't.

It's a late 1st and an above average defensive prospect for someone who when healthy is a top sniper in the game.

Nevermind that MTL also dumps Drouin in the deal.

It's highway robbery for MTL

A fair offer would be nice. I can see a good offer coming out of competition to get him. But he played 35 games when he came back. He got better every game. He was hitting he was shooting lasers. Nobody wants to admit that or maybe they just don't know. But injuries surround every player. Malkin has had how many injuries.

Nelson is not going anywhere - Isles 2C.

I don't see a problem with Eberle slotting in where Tank is and feature on the PP.

Seriously, Blues fans - Eberle for Tank a good foundation?

If we only get 2x2nds or less it's going to be disappointing.
Prepare to be disappointed. Situations like this where a player wants out usually don’t work in favor of the team having to trade him. Add in the health concerns and there you go…
