Eh I kinda think it's the opposite. Unless there's someone that they think is SIGNIFICANTLY better than the rest of the guys available, they should try and save as much as they can so they can spend bigger later. Slightly BPA doesn't make a great deal of sense.

There's no way we'd take Watson even if he fell to us. Slot for 8th overall is 5.17 million. He's clearly a top 8 guy and probably a top 5 guy. Our entire pool is 5.7 million. He's going to be asking for basically all of that, which someone like the Royals can pay even if he drops to 43. He's a high school guy too so he can just go to college so he won't settle if we take him and play a game of chicken.
