Theo at spring training facility/game - he and Breslow worked on deal with Bregman/Boras

interesting they talk all Sox regularly

Also didn’t realize Castiglione will be popping in to do radio broadcasts here and there including preseason (good move - stay young)

My mom at 72 a couple of years ago, took a job at the elementary school down the street from her as a lunch attendant.

She keeps and eye on the kids during lunch and recess….its been a huge life changer for her.

She gets out of the house for 3 hours a day, gets some exercise, and is always sharing stories about what kids do/say.

Plus, it’s the same school my kids went to, so she loves talking about the grandkids with their former teachers.

And she loves the Sox!

From tomorrow Sunday Globe baseball column

A few other observations on the Red Sox:

· With Brayan Bello and Kutter Crawfordlikely to open the season on the injured list, the Red Sox need starters.

Richard Fitts has his hand raised.

The 25-year-old righthander allowed four earned runs over 20⅔ innings in four starts last September, showing the Sox he had something to offer.

He shut out the Phillies for two innings on Friday, striking out Brandon Marsh, Johan Rojas, and Alec Bohm among the way. Fitts averaged 97.1 m.p.h. with his four-seam fastball, a big jump from 94.5 last season.

He hit 99 on a pitch to Bryce Harper, which Harper grounded into right field for a single.

At 6 feet 3 inches, 230 pounds, Fitts has discovered another gear. It will be interesting to see where that takes him.

Pete Rose was a colossal f***head who violated the credibility and integrity of every game he bet on. And that’s not even close to the worst of his documented transgressions. He should never be reinstated and I’m glad he never got it while living.

This is a sport that this has Shoeless Joe banned, and what he did was far less than what Rose did, and he was a much better player. So if they unban Rose, the sure as F*** better remove the ban on Shoeless Joe and put him in the Hall.

The people who vote for the Hall of fame are generally self important asshats, so hopefully even if Manfred were to lift the ban on Rose they will still chose to keep him out of the HOF

This is where i stand too.

Rose is in another world entirely compared to Jackson or even the steroid era guys.

Only one of these guys actions threatened the credibility of the entire sport.

So Aussie Liam Hendriks a huge Montreal Canadiens fan. Wife from Montreal and an accomplished figure skater and went to Bruins Canadiens game wearing a Habs jacket

Just gave up a 3 run bomb ~ still hitting 95
