Ed Jovo really is a die hard Kravtsov fan. Has it been confirmed as to whether Kravtsov has an NHL opt-out option?

i would rather sign Goldobin tbh

Goldy is having a breakout year in the KHL which is unusual? Not sure he can come back to the NHL with better defensive play and habits. I would give him another shot.

Some nice finish from Kravtsov.......He's become the Canucks 'forgotten prospect' since returning to the KHL.

But he's a former top-10 draft pick who still might figure into the Canucks future plans, since he's only signed for two years in KHL and can probably opt out of his contract after this season.

agreed. A year or 2 in Russian, and he should be able to come back and show us what he's got. All the skill in the world, and he seems to have a good attitude about it all. He just got screwed over by the NYR.

We could have a nice collection of Russians next year. I think it was wise to let him have a year simmering in Russia.

I tell you, the Canucks haven't forgotten about Kravtsov. He was a top-10 draft pick for a reason. They don't need him right now, but wouldn't surprise me if he surfaces at training camp next season.

KHL stats are meaningless. You have the likes of Goldobin, Boucher and Spooner lighting it up and none of them could hack it in the NHL. Kravtsov only gets attention because of he was taken absurdly high in the 2018 draft by Gorton who really knows how to pick them. No interest in Kravtsov anymore who refused AHL assignments because he thinks he doesn't need development. It shows a lot about his attitude.

Unfortunately that's exactly the kind sentiment the Dallas Stars had with Valeri Nichushkin after he went back to the KHL. And some fans probably cheered when they traded him to the Av's for a proverbial bag of pucks.

Who's sorry now?

Huh? They brought him back on a ~2yrx3m deal and he had 0 goals/10 points in 57 games the first year and then they bought him out.

If Kravtsov had the same determination as @EdJovanovski in updating his progress he would be a first line NHL player, unfortunately, I don't think that's the case.
