Far too soon to know. But it's good to have a tempered expectation. I think we're expecting way too much way too soon from most of our kids.
Way more examples of players that blossom at 22 or 23 than 19 or 20. Most of the NHL is filled with the former and only a handful of the latter. Until the players have their full man-strength we just don't know what they'll be.
That said, Kravtsov is a top 6 forward if he makes it. His vision and hockey sense is very good. His skating is good. And frankly he didn't strike me as irresponsible defensively in his time in HFD.
I watched him pretty closely towards the end of his HFD season and he was the most effective forward on the ice and also the youngest. He wasnt as impactful as Chytil was down there but as a winger he often has to rely a little bit more on other players to find him. But he was noticeable. I feel pretty confident he can be an NHL player. The question for him has always been about the right development path. Personally, I think the KHL might actually be the best place for him. Ideally, I would sign Buch to a 2 year extension and leave Kravtsov in the KHL for at least one more year but more likely 2.
The KHL is good for now because he might not have anywhere else to play but he shouldn't stay there any longer than he has to. He needs New York Ranger development and to get acclimatized to the N.A game.
