The real original Bro thinks Vince's retirement is a farce

I would probably lean towards the same feelings if the SEC and legit government investigations weren't happening, and this was all still just mostly a PR issue

Also the WWE corporate website posted about Vince's retirement.

There would be serious penalties if they were to knowingly post false information such as that.

You can't report false information that could potentially influence the stock of a publicly-traded company. It is illegal.

Fightful claiming Vince has forfeited his stock in the company with the retirement, which means he really is gone gone, and there won't be any hurdles to a sale if that is where they go (and why not? They will get a lot in a sale)

He forfeited a few shares

He still owns 28 million+ shares.

You had to figure Russo would be in the news in some fashion given how big this news was. Guy just can't help himself, bro.

Danielson steered very clear from saying anything bad about Vince when asked about the allegations.

End of the day a lot of people in the business are going to continue to respect Vince

Wonder who they plan to sell to. Would guess NBCUniversal makes the most sense

I still think Disney is ripe to scoop up WWE. Much like Marvel and Star Wars, the sheer amount of intellectual property, particularly from the 1980s and 1990s, that could continue to be monetized decades into the future, may be too hard to pass up for the right price. They have the distribution and infrastructure necessary to maximize that intellectual property.

Maybe Amazon is a dark horse too with their push into live sports.
