Speculation: Video leak that Seattle has selected Kerfoot circulating twitter

It would be hilarious if for every other pick they did the fish throwing skit to announce and then for the Leafs pick they do an automated "Siri" voice over a blank screen announcing they're taking McCann or Dermott, just to troll us Leaf fans and whoever posted that video

Why would they care about trolling Leaf fans? We're not that important. And the reaction to the leak by the Seattle front office is probably "Oh, well, the Internet found a pick out about 36 or so hours early." I doubt they're seriously concerned and probably figured that some of these would get out ahead of time, since from what I understand, they're shooting things like this all over the city.

ehhh, sorry this is kind of a backwards way of looking at it IMO. Kerfoot only makes 1M less than Naz did plus it took Barrie walking for nothing along with Ceci leaving to free up the dollars as well. To say we repurposed Naz's money for Brodie is disingenuous. The trade wasn't really good and with Kerfoot likely getting selected it didn't really accomplish anything, I think we can accept that as is and move on.

Points are all valid on both sides of the argument but i prefer to look at it as:
In - Brodie + McCann( seeing as he is Kerfoot's replacement)
Out - Kadri
Would much rather have Brodie than Kadri.

Plus Colorado is looking to move on from Kadri already.

If it's really Kerfoot then I have to wonder if there was a bit of a handshake deal made when the Leafs let Hakstol go to be their head coach.

It's airing as a 90 minute broadcast on ESPN2 and Sportsnet One, so I don't know where you're getting anything about TSN. This is an official NHL event and TSN has no rights for those -- just regional rights to Leafs (partial), Sens, and Habs games.
