I'm 10 hours into Starfield and liking it a lot. I've hardly done any main quest stuff, and instead ran off and got a job.

I definitely lied on my resume.
About 3 hours in its pretty cool. Took a bit to figure out warping to a new system but tbh compared to starting out in Eve Online its a bit easier.

Everyone needs to play yakuza 0-6 and then Judgement, Yakuza Like A Dragon, and Lost Judgement

In that order

I have recently come across a lot more free time in my life and for some reason the first game I’m playing through is South Park: Stick of Truth and let me tell you… it is terrific. The combat is fun. Getting to romp around South Park is awesome. The dialogue is true to the show. It’s inspiring me to watch the South Park movie tonight.

Great game, I remember having a lot of fun. Play South Park™: The Fractured But Whole™ when it's on sale.

Thinking about diving back in this year.

I am somewhat embarrassed to say I have cracked the top 900 out of 1.3M people in FIFA for Online Seasons. Can't wait for this game to come out.

I'm also very stoked that there shouldn't be a super team next year like there is with PSG. City, Madrid, Bayern, etc should be very good but I'd say 90%+ plus of the games I play this year are against PSG and n00bs that can only score with Messi, Mbappe, and Neymar. Always feels good when I'm blanking them 4-0 in the first 35' with a team like Newcastle and they rage quit.

Speaking of rage quitting, that's something I hope FIFA can put a stop to. If guys pull the plug on their connection a certain amount of times they should get booted from the game for a certain period of time. I'm ok with guys quitting via the menu but quitting by stopping your internet connection is whack.

I haven't played a single minute of video games in months....whenever I first got the Harry Potter game. No time or interest. Just burned out on endless questing, I guess.

A new sports game will probably recharge the batteries.

The precision passing looks interesting, and it seems like they've gotten rid of a bunch of logistical annoyances in FUT. Little shit like "claim all" and having an Objectives hub to focus your activity seems small at first but might really make things a lot more fun and less tedious.

I haven't touched FUT in years. Same with HUT in NHL. I'm not interested in a pay-to-play system where some people grind for what they earn and others just buy it. Maybe I'll see if this year is any different but I just like competing online in Seasons in FIFA or in World of Chel in NHL.

Feel you on the video game burnout, btw. I would love to find a new game I actually want to play but I've tried a bunch recently and none captured my interest except for South Park: Stick of Truth. I did really enjoy Stick of Truth and have never really played turn-based strategy games before so maybe I'll look for one those.

I think I'm just burned out on all of the open world / exploration games. I don't have the time or energy to burn on them any more and they just feel overwhelming at this stage in my life.

Welp yall .. if anyone wants to posse up with me on RDO ... we'll f*** some shit up, just make it some weird Caps obsessed posse where we harrass locals about their lack of Cap fandom.

Just ride around signing

'Were the ice breakers,
the goal shakers,
THE CAPS!,
the washington capitals"

Anyone remember that song they put out in the mid 90s?

it will be weird but fun

It wont be hard to hold your ground and proceed to Div1 of FUT with cheap players. You just need to play some games each week and you'll get a good team (and you can polish it like you want, that's a good thing).

There is a match making on a team rating basis and you won't be playing a lot of games against pay-to-win-guys if you use players of Newcastle caliber. ie you cant get in a match 80 vs 90 average team rating, at least that didnt happen to me in previous years (I'm skipping second season in a row unfortunately).

Your skill will get you some money for purchases from the market. Its kind of fun. Try it maybe.

I’m very disappointed. I was sitting on 69 league titles/tournament championships and played a Premier Cup tournament when I was a bit stoned last night. My plan was to unplug my system in the Final before the final whistle blew so I would lose and stay on 69 trophies but some douche quit when I went up 3-1 so now I have 70 trophies. All that work for nothing.

I beat that a few weeks ago. Solid game although some of the game aspects can be disturbing

FC 24 is good I've been playing for over a week now.

Hard pass on "AC: Mirage". I don't understand why Bethesda gets a hard time from fans and Ubisoft does not. Ubisoft are the least original game producer ("AC Mirage!", "Far Cry 28!") out there, they keep pumping out the same games with different dressing. So Bethesda screwed up with "Fallout 76". At least they're trying to put out cool new orignal stuff like "Starfield". Ubisoft is the one that should get hammered, not Bethesda.

Ubisoft gets pumped by fans all the time, their games are glitchy in the crap way on release (remember AC: Unity?) and the play time is always buffered by a million map markers with dumb collectables.

Even the Far Cry games are full of the same thing. Nobody gives Ubisoft the same shit because nobody expects better from them anymore, Bethesda is still leaned on to make another Skyrim.
