Depends on games you play. Online shooters use mostly your tunnel vision when you focus on a small area thus increasing sensitivity to each movement. High frequencies are welcome. If you appreciate graphics and view in games, then higher resolution makes a better impression.

In my case, I won't be able to tell the difference between 100+Hz monitors.

Immediately anticipating Battlebit, Diablo 4, Starfield….maybe Baldur’s Gate…

Ok…..pulled the trigger….Alienware m16r1, 13th Gen Intel Core i9 13900HX, GeForce RTX 4080…

16" QHD+ (2560 x 1600) 240Hz, 3ms, ComfortView Plus, NVIDIA G-SYNC + DDS, 100% DCI-P3, FHD IR Camera…..

Decided to get the 16” that comes with the higher refresh rate, but still QHD. Just have to upgrade ram and storage aftermarket and I’m set for a long time.

Hey very nice congrats. That is a good resolution for a 16" plus the really nice frame rate. I have the 4k 15" Oled upgrade for a M15 and it is not something that I generally would play on except for travel.

with the 64g and 7tb upgrades, it will be my everything machine lol….I really wanted something semi-mobile….partially the reason I stepped down the screen size for the better resolution also….figure I will grab a pretty monitor for home office now..

Bolded exactly.

Well I think I’ve finished Tears of the Kingdom, even though I’m planning on picking it back up in a few months. I still have a ton of side quests and things I want to do, but for now I think I want to move onto FF16.

It really is amazing what Nintendo has done with the Zelda franchise. Instead of doing what other companies do and run a formula into the ground until it damages the brand, I think they realized that Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword were just more of the same and decided to go for it with Breath of the Wild and then refine it even more with Tears of the Kingdom. I don’t think I’ve had more fun experimenting and just messing around in a game in a long time.

Another thing that sticks out to me is just how bug-free the game is, minus the one item-dupe glitch that they patched out right away. With the ability to build your own vehicles and fuse pretty much any two objects together you’d think something in the software would break but it just didn’t. What a game!

I'll finish it tonight. Yesterday I got the last shrine and the last memory, and completed the Yiga questline.

It's great, and I look forward to playing the next one someday.

If my son just got a Switch and I want to play the Zelda games, should I start with BotW or can I go right into TotK? Normally I wouldn’t ask such a question but I don’t have 60+ hours to sink into these games anymore. Or should I try to just blast through the story on BotW and then spend the time going through TotK?

Honestly you can probably just do TotK if your time is limited. It's not a game that's heavy on story, even if this is more of a sequel than most Zelda games are. So you won't be clueless about what's going on, even though there may be moments where you would have benefitted from playing the prior game.

You could always watch a YouTube video recapping the story of BotW if you really feel like you need to be caught up on it.

I heard it's a very cool "movie".

Not gonna watch the clickbait video, but it's really only an issue for console gamers. On console it defaults your cursor position to that button AND there's a viable reason for having money pre-loaded into console currency systems. On PC, even if you accidentally click on it, it's going to bring you to the screen to buy currency. If you don't have currency, no risk.

Just another reason the Diablo franchise should have stuck to PC only.

So I finally did the on line game thing. Paid for playstations live.

Do i need a headset microphone to tell people to f*** off?

Do a mission but then some lvl 256 "intervenes", wagon wont move anymore and just keeps shooting me from 500 yards away w a carcano sniper rifle. Im level 7.

I set it to defensive mode and then some guy keeps trying to get me to bump him w my horse so it changes offensive and he can kill me.

Can lvl 200 people just intervene on missions and just mess everything up?

edit -- game is RDR2 Online .. sorry
