I'm convinced that Mahjoob is the true end boss of D4. That questline is impossible. He just heals all the damage dealt

Apparently stunlock can beat him, but I'd have to change my whole build to do that.

Been playing through Tails of Iron. Pretty fun RPG with tough combat unless you put it on easy mode. It’s a linear story which is a nice break from massive open world games that take 60+ hours to get through.

Also beat Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart with my son. Had a lot of fun playing it. I think they could have done more with the rifts/dimension anomalies but generally it was a lot of fun to play. Great characters throughout the game and the weapons are pretty outlandish which was cool.

I can see why both games got very good reviews. I believe they’re both free for PS+ subscribers, they’re worth a try. Fair warning: Tails of Iron is hard as hell for the first hour or so until you get the hang of it.

Tears of the Kingdom is so good. It’s everything a classic Zelda game is, but also includes RPG elements, but also includes sandbox elements, and also has one of the best open worlds in gaming, and also the soundtrack kicks ass.

I have several other games I want to play including FF16 and the RE4 remake but I can’t stop Zelda.

Disagree about the soundtrack - that's the weakest part of BotW and TotK - but it's still a great game.

I just finished this the other day. This is obviously not a prevalent track, seeing as it's a single boss theme. But even the simple overworld stuff kicks ass IMO.

Finished Tails of Iron. I give it a solid 8.5/10. Cool story, fun to play, great environment, enjoyable but challenging combat once you get the hang of it. My only complaints are that the missions got repetitive and there weren’t enough fast travel points on the map. There would be times where it would take a few minutes to run across a big part of the map only to be told that the mission was back where you came from. The story also just kind of ended. I was hoping for a more climatic ending and didn’t even know I was fighting the final boss or that the story was over until I finished… kind of a, “Wait, that was it,” type of ending.

Nah son, it's 2023 and split screen technology has been lost to the ages like dead languages

Fudge .. only I didnt say fudge.

Anyway to play rdr2 online w my daughter .. outside of buying a second PS5?

Weve tried playing storymode many times together where I tell her hints/what to do and she has controllers .... it ends up I just get all frustrated and go for a jay walk bc everytime she sees a train she yells "train" and violently rides our horse into it

Somebody forgot about this classic

But seriously I rarely remember video game soundtracks. For example I know the Uncharted theme song is great, but that’s main menu music, I have no memory of music during gameplay. I also can barely remember any Red Dead 2 music, and I played the shit outta that. The list goes on.

I hadn't heard of this game at all -- didn't seem to get any kind of promotion. But it looks cool, like its based on the Brian Jacques "Redwall" fantasy series. I'll have to give a shot.

Definitely recommend it. It’s not a big time commitment and it’s a fun experience. If you like this kind of game I highly recommend Valiant Hearts: The Great War.

Cinematics are generally a waste...basically in game tik tok videos. I'm fine with critical moments/plot points but one escapes past these on re-play throughs.
Agreed. I don't mind the occasional cinematics for big moments, but you shouldn't have to constantly cut away from the gameplay to make your game story work.
