I have, and it's very interesting. 3D adventure game that's...outside the box, let's say. I don't want to get too much into it because the premise is the continuing surprise. Some people will not like this nonsense at all, but I found it engaging.

How's that for a yes or no answer?
Would you play it again knowing what you know now or would you find something else to play?

The steam games I sunk most time into:
- CK3
- State of Decay 2 - few years old, and generally I stay away from action/fighting RPGish games, but this scratches a bunch of itches: relatively simple melee combat (though there are a few combos you can get when a character progresses,) RPG elements (every character you meet is unique in skills and quirks, though not dialog,) and survival/base-building. If you play Fallout 4's must-use mod Sim Settlements 2 and liked it much, much more than the base game, try it. Usually can be found on sale, and definitely play with a controller. I've come to realize that hitting a group of zombies with aoe fire is one of my favorite game mechanics. Don't judge me.
- Stranded: Alien Dawn - early access game. Kenshi 2.0
- Still felling judged
- Co3 alpha missions. WANT.
- The Homeworld series in "chronological" order. WANT HW3.
- Dying Light 2. Yes, we're back at zombies and fire. Can we move on?

GOG:
- PKWotR - Higher-level characters and fantasy don't really mix for me, but I felt compelled to play it after I liked Kingmaker so much.
- Iron Harvest - see CoH3 above.

Epic:
Control - Finally finished it. This game makes no sense, but whatever. I want to date the main character and the customizing options and power-ups are interesting.

Games allegedly coming out in 2023 I'm looking forward to (and yes, I am done with fantasy as a genre, it's been done):
- Bethesda's Star-whatever game.
- Frostpunk 2
- Did I mention Homeworld and CoH?

Would you play it again knowing what you know now or would you find something else to play?

I would not - it doesn't have a lot of replayability in my estimation. The ongoing surprise is really central to the experience.

Sorry, I meant knowing what you know now would you play it again for the first time or would you skip it? I mean, knowing what I know now about Horizon Zero Dawn I’d absolutely play it again for the first time but knowing what I know now, I wouldn’t have played Red Dead Redemption 2.

2023 has the potential to be bonkers.

Zelda
STALKER 2
Fire Emblem
Atomic Heart
Starfield
Hades 2? (Probably just early access)

I didn't realize hades 2 was even in development. Hades was my favorite game the year it came out.

I loved it but I got bored with it really quickly. Only so many times you can play through the same levels fighting the exact same enemies before it gets tiresome, or at least that’s how I felt.

What I really liked about that game was that I could pick it up anytime, play for a quick 10 mins and be done with it. With the lack of time I have to enjoy video games that game was perfect for me. The other thing that kept me going was the rpg element of upgrading your weapons/abilities or finding different boons to make your run feel just so different.

Completed Yakuza Like a Dragon. Will continue to insist and tell everyone that this game is awesome; and the best jdrama / comedy / video game in years. If you haven't purchased it, definitely consider.

Purchased Judgement and probably going to get Lost Judgement too. PS5 backlog piling up. In addition; purchased Elden Ring. Gonna be a lot of ps5 gaming.

I started Elden Ring but I’m putting it on hold. I don’t have 100 hours in me right now for that game. I think it takes 55-60 just to complete the main story line but I like to venture out and explore. I put 90 hours into Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and then rage quit when the Atlantis ending required you to buy a $50 DLC.

I started Outer Wilds and it’s fun. Very different but it’s almost calming in a sense.

Do you have to play the other Yazuka games to appreciate Like A Dragon?

It helps but it's mostly a standalone story

No. Never was able to get into any of the other Yakuza games. Like a Dragon feels like a standalone game.

Hmm….on PS+ also…..

I should get back to Like A Dragon. I don't like the combat much, but Icbiban is a great character and I like the side content.

Elden Ring is fun. Is it okay to go without a headpiece like this?

There are certain enemies and bosses where armor sets are important, but for the most part I found armor/outfits mainly cosmetic. You’re fine if you don’t want a headpiece.
