OT: Video Game Thread Part VIII

Word. I completely understand. I really like the game but the boss encounters towards the end of the game waver between difficult and “f*** you guys” difficult lol. I tend to grind a bunch to make the latter part of soulslikes a bit less stressful/challenging. Even then, they can still kick your ass.

Beat her on my third attempt today. It’s funny how some time off can actually help you out sometimes.

The ability to recharge your healing item in Lies of P was such a f***ing cool idea. I was able to kill Manus (on my first try!) only because I did enough damage to heal two extra times. I felt like such a badass lol. I can't remember the last time I was that pumped after beating a boss in a video game. Probably Slave Knight Gael from Dark Souls 3.

I only tried him once so far, but yeah, this is gonna be a bitch. That frickin laser beam rocked my world.

@FLYguy3911 my stupid ass made the mistake of getting too high in the rivals divisions, so every game was against insane sweats with god squads, which makes doing objectives so much harder than it needs to be. I got my ass beat trying to get those 11 wins for the packs.

From now on, if I'm about to be promoted to a new division, I'm literally throwing the match.

It’s a terrible system. You never get relegated. So you either get promoted to a division you aren’t good enough for or you face sandbaggers with god squads. They should just scrap the divisions and set it up weekly like squad battles. Play who you play and get points based on performance.

And at the very least make the rewards good enough so there’s an incentive to reach a higher division. The weekly rewards are shit and the season reward is a f***ing TIFO.

Nice. Bruno is really good but he probably doesn’t even start for you, right? I did Pina to use duplicates but not use up all my high fodder…. then immediately got duplicate Kane and duplicate Osimhen. This game, man.

I currently am running Gullit as my attacking CM so Bruno will probably replace Kimmich and swap with Gullit now that Bayern f***ed me.

I was going to do Best but I don’t really have the motivation to do another marathon SBC and by the time I finish him I’ll probably be onto The Show lol.

I finally packed Messi tho.

I was going to chirp him but I don't instigate. Next game I play some guy that switches mid game to a 5 back after replacing his evo before kickoff and he's just playing the ball in his own half the whole time. I finally score and then he ties it up in the 80th minute because my goalie decides to play it with his feet instead of grabbing it. He pauses, waits for his pause timer to run out and then quits and sends rat emojis. The most toxic community and it's all because the game modes and rewards suck ass and they don't count quits and DCs as wins like every other competitive game on the market.

Yeah, scumbag for sure but I’m stealing that rat emoji move.

Similar experience last night where I was playing online drafts (using meta players once in a while feels nice) and within the first 2 minutes I R1 dribble through his entire team, get slide tackled from behind in the box, and get a PK. Of course they let the guy pause the game before I can kick, so he waits the full pause and quits at 0-0. It’s insane that a tie DC isn’t a win, especially in WL.

And you’re right about it being the most toxic community. Imagine if they allowed voice chat…
