Finished 2-4. Went 11-9 again lol.

Absolute demons with god squads out tonight. I choked one winnable game against a little rat that messaged me mid-game that told me to stop holding onto the ball lol. I finished the game with 230 passes and he attempted 110 tackles. He just sprinted down the sideline for a cutback every time and got rewarded.

I heard they’re supposed to be nerfing cutbacks at the same time as trivelas. Something about how the defensive AI reacts when they’re near the goal line, I think.

If true, half these shit rats will never win a game again.

They dropped the patch after weekend league after I faced some dude that only took outside the box trivelas with Cruyff all game. I think they took out the note about cutbacks. Might have been current gen only.

Did you check out the "Loyalty Packs" they dropped. The balls on that company.

Ended up doing Martinez since EA gave me Irene Paredes 3 times in less than a minute of packs/player picks.

Yeah, the high value dupes are insane right now. Clearly a huge pack weight change compared to TOTY.

4* weak foot with 99 sprint speed with a shadow. No defensive playstyles so he's probably just fodder, but I'm working on him. Probably going to be a rat and flirt with some 3/5 back formations since I have so many CB options all of a sudden.

Yup, I did him and Assignon. Some of the other CBs seemed decent but I don’t want short guys back there. He’ll get block+ at the end of the evo anyways, which is one of the best D play styles.

And I was thinking exactly the same thing about Cafu (is he even better than evo Assignon?) and Best. I have like 5 unopened 84x5s but I have 88 and 89 dupes sitting there before I can even get to them. My fear is I use all my fodder on one of them and immediately a great SBC is released…

I don't really have a need for Cafu with Frimpong and Laudrup, but he eats me up every time I face him. Same with Best. A guy I trust said he wasn't worth it, but he tears me up every time I face him and he defends his balls off too. Makes no sense.

Yeah, I think he may be outside the power curve shortly since his playstyle plus is almost useless. If you need a CAM, you could do worse though. 5*5* is always nice too. Midfielders without defensive stats are tough fits in this game. I was thinking about Bruno too. He's kind of in the same boat but does have some defense. I'll probably end up passing on him too.

Same Best owns me. But he’s just so damn expensive. I don’t think I’m exaggerating when I say I’ve been scored on by him more than any other non-Mbappe player.

My players are NEVER open, they’re always out of position, and it feels like I’m outnumbered everywhere. I’m losing my mind with this shit.

Word. I completely understand. I really like the game but the boss encounters towards the end of the game waver between difficult and “f*** you guys” difficult lol. I tend to grind a bunch to make the latter part of soulslikes a bit less stressful/challenging. Even then, they can still kick your ass.
