OT: Video Game Thread Part VIII

You could make teams and play tournaments or ladder matches with pro rules.

There were profiles, team profiles, it displayed your teams roster and record, you got your own personal “GB Rank”, and so on. It was huge back during the Xbox 360 generation.

I faced some demons Friday. Some dude put up 7 on me with 10 men. Pulled out some skill moves I've never seen before. :laugh:

Formation change Saturday. Bought Leao. Better results.

20 games is a grind though and I'm not good enough to get rage quits.

I feel like I get shit ping even though it says mid-20s. I can never do skill moves in the box. I play Seasons with regular clubs and everything is smooth. I don't get it.

Yeah, the 20 games is too much for me. Haven’t done it yet this game.

Been grinding CoD instead. I will NOT be defeated by the bullshjt SBMM. Too stubborn for that shit. I’m getting that mastery camo no matter what.

Trepang2 is pretty damn good. Only played the demo so far and I have a backlog to chew through before buying more games.

I’ve heard only good things about this game! I’m going to give the 2 hour trial a shot to see if it’s something I’d be interested in. Gotta get familiar with D&D first though lol. That’ll help I’m thinking

Started playing Cuphead today.

Holy f***, what a punishingly difficult game. Gotta play mistake free or your dead, then dead again, & again, & again, & again, & again lol. Gotta have the patience of Buddha to persevere through that game. it’s harder than basically any Soulslike.

Your thumbs are going to HATE you. I beat it but it was rough. Unlocking and upgrading the different weapons is essential. Even through all the damn pain I still marveled at how perfect to its animated source material it all was. IIRC getting three stars on the side missions was often harder than most if the damn bosses.

I disagree it's harder than a Souls game because at least it's linear!

It does a good job of streamlining the already streamlined set of rules for D&D in game. It makes it pretty simple to understand

I find it’s more difficult than Souls games because Cuphead is asking the player to be perfectly precise in a frenetic, crazy, & lightning fast combat scenario. There’s usually a tiny smidge/sliver of wiggle room for mistakes in Souls games. Cuphead doesn’t really have that in my experience so far. I’ll get better eventually lol.
