Someone on Twitter mentioned they got 4-5 hours out of full and high fidelity games with Lies of P and CP2077 on the new Deck. That's impressive.

Yeah, they're a more narrow use case for sure, but they do have uses like this. My wife travels back to Western Canada often, so it happens to fit her needs. She takes some sensible steps like not jacking the brightness up and she said she gets 4+ hours with everything she's ever played.

Admittedly I'm a huge fan of Valve's hardware because it's usually open source and the components aren't cheap crap. GN is openly soliciting side by side battery testing use cases, so I'm excited to see what they end up saying. The changes to the PCB make actual sense. These revisions weren't done to cut a few bucks.

I’m not. I’m just doing camo challenges. I even intentionally started out using bad guns so I wouldn’t be put in SBMM hell.

Shovel Knight is what happens when you start from a base of the best Mega Man game in decades and then get really creative in bosses, powers, platforming and everything else under the sun while modernizing the stuff that shouldn't matter like limited lives and one boss' weapon 2 shotting another boss.

And I'm not just saying this because they lovingly ripped something out of one of the most underrated games ever made in U.N. Squadron.

Right now, I'm playing Orcs Must Die! 3 co-op with my wife, but I don't know if that made it to any consoles.

We just finished playing Sackboy. Lots of fun.

I'm racking my brain for the next ps5 local co-op with girl game. Any ideas?

If you both like Beat Em Ups, there are quite a few good ones -- River City Girls 2, the new TMNT is surprisingly good (free with Netflix on some platforms), the new Double Dragon, etc.

I'm also going to say Cuphead because it's a fantastic game with my favorite art style ever, but you definitely both have to like a challenge.

Baldur's Gate 3 also counts and is great, but that is a Commitment with a capital C.

Not sure if it's just this or something else, I think Xbox has to have crossplay enabled at all times, but PS is able to disable it? I'm saying this overall and outside of this game. I think it used to be like this, not sure if it still is.

That’s correct and it’s stupid. It wasn’t always like this either. Two or three games ago Xbox could disable it too.

And if you disable crossplay on your Xbox console settings, it won’t let you on multiplayer.

That’s correct and it’s stupid. It wasn’t always like this either. Two or three games ago Xbox could disable it too.

And if you disable crossplay on your Xbox console settings, it won’t let you on multiplayer.

She's a sweetheart until you cross her. She was just telling me today about how she came across this guy in Tarkov without anything and offered to let him go. He tried to shoot her in the back, so she wounded and hunted him for the rest of the game, barely keeping him alive and yelling over voice comms for no one to touch her bitch.

If she ever wants the insurance money, I have zero chance. I'm just saying.
