Oh, he’s evil. It’s the forkball. I have great plate discipline, and I still swing like a moron at forkballs low. It’s the best pitch in the game, I think. Between that and the slider, and his downward release, you can pitch tunnel for days.

My buddy did one better. Picked off 2nd with two outs and two strikes. Overthrow. Shohei scored. I had a perfect throw release, and got the worst animation possible and a noodle throw. That did me in last season.

How's your ping in Co-op? It has been absolutely dreadful for me. You pretty much have to guess with anyone with outlier and it's not enjoyable. I mostly play with someone in Florida, but even playing Philly guys last night it was awful. We lost a game 1-0 giving up one hit.

Eric Gagne's curveball when he has 103 in the tank is the closest.

@Magua some guy told me to touch grass in Events yesterday when he saw my lineup. I didn't have the heart to tell him I had that lineup for 10 days.

Yeah, I wish they wouldn't let you just sub in a starting pitcher with max energy. They need to incorporate energy somehow.

How's your ping in Co-op? It has been absolutely dreadful for me. You pretty much have to guess with anyone with outlier and it's not enjoyable.

My two usual guys (play more 3s than 2s) are from Jacksonville and Halifax, so that bodes well. Some games are absolute guess jobs, swinging when the ball leaves their hands. But mostly I find it’s a week to week thing with the servers. It’s been fine of late, but there are days/weeks where I consistently feel my timing is off.

I’m not even sure how host works in co-op. I haven’t noticed any pattern with me as captain. I’ve had laggy home games too.

All 99s. Pretty much my god squad, but only S3 guys to parallel. Two bench bats. Two starting pitchers (Donaldson ofc out of the pen). 4 relievers. Fill out the rest with 60 common cards (Waldron is a 64 knuckleballer but he's been bp when I face him). I'm not going for the win streak reward though. Snell looks pretty weak tbh. I'm sure a captain boost could give you some wiggle room somewhere, but I usually don't use captain cards.

I played some 1000 ranked rating loser the other day who dashboarded so quick on a Will Smith laser beam (underrated card btw, my platoon RHH with Schwarber). It was honestly impressive.

Ramirez might be the best card in the game. 89 speed at P5? Lol.

I'm hit or miss with Carroll. Either a bomb or a popout. No in between. Weird swing.

I just bought Casty so we'll see how he does. His 97 card ripped so my hopes are high.

The new Final Fantasy has a lot of epic stiff going on but I think my favorite moment so far might be a side quest where a rich murderous racist and his little hellspawn getting eaten by wolves.

My stupid ass is still going to buy the standard edition but I’m currently furious with this f***ing scripted bullshit franchise after the games I played yesterday.

I never believe conspiracy theory stuff but I’m completely convinced they influence games to make people win/lose or at least make things much easier or more difficult. I don’t know how I didn’t launch my controller.

I was playing the weekend league (20 games and the amount of wins you get determines prizes) and every time I won a few, I’d have a series of games where my passing just didn’t work, my players couldn’t shoot, and my AI defense and goalie were actively giving opponents goals. Then after a few losses, every pass was a laser, every shot was a goal, and my AI was elite. I finished 10-10 for the third weekend in a row.

I don’t know, I’d have to look into that.

I know in Call of Duty they don’t quite influence the actual in-game gameplay, but it’s been leaked and confirmed that they influence the matchmaking so that you play hard games and easy games in specific rotations/frequencys in a way that maximizes player retention based on the psychological studies. Player retention is everything to these companies.

That’s also why everything has switched to “Battle Passes”, “Seasons”, and stuff like that.

Wouldn’t be at all surprised if FIFA is doing the same thing, but obviously far worse by f***ing with gameplay.

I haven't been able to play NHL in 1.5 years, besides rare occurrences, without game breaking input delay. Online and offline, all hardware swapped out. Don't have it in any other game. I created a 40 page thread on their website; any complaints and video evidence and corroborating find the trashcan. I feel like I play on invisible packet loss. On a night where it was normal, I played on clean west ping, and that was massively better. My process of elimination tells me it's something with their cloud data services and de-sync.

If you want to do something drastic against EA, you know where to find me. I'm full conspiracy theorist.
