The programs confused me. It didn't seem I could play anything? I have to go back and look. My team is a solid 73 ovr right now.
Do you guys spend real money on this? This is what I won't be doing lol
I think it's impossible to be a 73 unless you have 3 minutes played.
I haven't spent a dime in the 2 years I've played Diamond Dynasty -- it's just a matter of playing time (I also like to play the market early like it's fantasy). Fittingly in a year showcasing Sosa and McGwire, they juiced the cards to Herculean proportions. It's pretty easy to have an entire team of 92-97 cards in a few days casually.
Each individual program, of varying length, has missions -- some active, some passive. Generally, you start out doing all the moments (i.e. "Get 3 strikeouts in the 9th with Tainter Jainter") in any program. Then there's XP grinding stuff by playing with certain cards. You get more XP online, along with card rewards, but none of this requires online play. I would make sure to start with the World Baseball Classic program. There's also corresponding Conquests (the hexagonal shit) and Showdowns that give you program points. There's the Season 1 program, but that's just about cumulative XP: you play anything in DD, you'll progress naturally.
