OT: Video Game Thread Part VIII

Devers might be the best hitter in the game tbh.

Well......

Damn maybe I have to rush finishing Trails from Zero and Trails to Azure. ARGHHHHH IT'S LIKE MY BOOK BACKLOG NEVER GONNA END.

I made it to the AA all star game, hit three home runs and then was pinch hit while up by about 5 in the 8th.
Was that a “we want to give everyone a shot” or the computer being stupid?
Two games later I was called up to AAA, three games after they changed my position from SS to 3B.
Bastards killed my 35 game hit streak by calling me up.

Demand a trade.

The programs confused me. It didn't seem I could play anything? I have to go back and look. My team is a solid 73 ovr right now.

Do you guys spend real money on this? This is what I won't be doing lol

I think it's impossible to be a 73 unless you have 3 minutes played.

I haven't spent a dime in the 2 years I've played Diamond Dynasty -- it's just a matter of playing time (I also like to play the market early like it's fantasy). Fittingly in a year showcasing Sosa and McGwire, they juiced the cards to Herculean proportions. It's pretty easy to have an entire team of 92-97 cards in a few days casually.

Each individual program, of varying length, has missions -- some active, some passive. Generally, you start out doing all the moments (i.e. "Get 3 strikeouts in the 9th with Tainter Jainter") in any program. Then there's XP grinding stuff by playing with certain cards. You get more XP online, along with card rewards, but none of this requires online play. I would make sure to start with the World Baseball Classic program. There's also corresponding Conquests (the hexagonal shit) and Showdowns that give you program points. There's the Season 1 program, but that's just about cumulative XP: you play anything in DD, you'll progress naturally.

Just finished Trails from Zero. Dang Trails game go mega hard towards the end. Probably gonna do another playthrough on the hardest difficulty because save data ports over to the sequel Trails to Azure.

Do they ever throw strikes on anything higher than rookie? Jesus Christ. What went from a quick 4 minute 3 inning game became a 12 minute 5 inning game.

Saw about 10 seconds of this earlier today and turned it off because I thought it was a guy with a GoPro
We've reached the point where any video evidence we see can't be trusted. Fake things just look too real now.

This type of realism is a bit unsettling. Especially in a game designed to kill other humans. I'd play a Zombie Horror game like this though.
Yeah, my first thought while watching it was that horror games like this would be insane.
