Yeah, it rules. I've done two main missions, just sticking to the side stuff. Been trying to romance Sarah, but she doesn't like a lot of the stuff I do, so the game I'm spitting isn't working.

The side missions are just too good.

There is a woman out there for you ;)

Yeah there was one side mission that I just absolutely loved so far. Tough as shit as a level 10, but the payoff was incredible

I'm about 12 hours in. I've been mostly focusing on the main story because a buddy told me that a main game mechanic is only unlocked after you complete a few of them. I also built what can only be considered an abomination of a ship.

For the lot who've played a lot of Cyberpunk - I just started - is there a learning curve because I am...well...overwhelmed. I've played all the GTAs before and this feels a lot like that, but with an entire semi-nerdy JRPG-esque system thrown into the mix. Early goings the combat system is super fun because it's tough but so fair. I can't wait until I get a Katana.

Try Playing BF2042 in a Breakthrough mode.

It's been a long time since I played, but I focused all my skill points into hacking, crit damage, precision weapons and stealth. That gave me a pretty over powered build early on. As for money. In the early days before they patched it out. There was a painting that you could sell 20,000 credits and buy it back for only five thousand. So I abuse the crap out of that until I was insanely rich. Nowadays I don't know how you make money in that game.

I would however, recommend that you maybe wait a couple days before playing. There's a big expansion coming out that's going to completely change the game, seemingly for the better. It will probably cost you 30 bucks, but if you're liking what you played so far I'm sure you'll enjoy it as well.

Is that one of the good BF or bad ones? I've honestly only played Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 1. BF1 is probably the most fun I have ever had with a first-person online shooter.

Thanks! I am confused at all the perks, the UI is insane in regards to a million different things on it (the first-person UI), 98% of the stuff I am picking up I don't really even know what it does, and honestly how you play the game. I beat the bathtub mission and I realised that there were like ten different ways you could've faced the machine gun mini-boss. Through the front door, through the side door, through the bathroom, through a grenade, and/or even hacking. Should I expect multiple ways to encounter somebody from now on?

For the side missions, yes. The main story will be a bit different. While traversing the areas, you can be loud or sneaky, but options will be more limited. I'm assuming that's for story progression and what not. However, when facing bosses, you'll still be able to utilize whichever skills you invested in, but it will still basically come down to a fight in a closed arena.

I haven't even started BG3 or Starfield. That's what happens when you spend 50 hours on Dave the diver.

God, Dave the Diver is such a good f***ing game. That's my GotY, and I say that as I play Starfield for nearly double the amount of hours I did on DtD.

Starfield is number 2 on my list. TotK at 3, begrudgingly, since it was just a massive BotW DLC.

I think the mechanic is kinda overrated... maybe I just haven't reached a good point of usefulness yet.

I didn't know that was an option. I'm definitely gonna be doing that.

One thing I ran into early is watching the class of ships until you progress.

It is certainly an RPG and RPG elements apply. Basically meaning, if you're a level 5, no matter your skill, you won't be level 25 enemies often. You have to grind and build a bit. Focus in the on elements that fit your style of play. You can go full guns blazing if you set it up right, or ninja hacker with deadly mantis blades. I've done both (loved my mantis blades build) and they can work, you just needs to focus on what type of player you want earlyish.

Yeah there are a ton of ways to play and beat the game. No matter which way you prefer to play, there is likely a way to beat a boss that way.

I'm a little hopeful on the DLC for Cyberpunk... but I do have a little 'Do not believe his lies' Memento in me about it. I think the game is an incredibly fun game that was overhyped and promised. If you accept it as flawed, it is actually a pretty good experience today.

Not exactly video game related but does anyone here play any trading card games? I’ve recently gotten back into playing the Pokémon TCG online and gonna start going to some IRL events

I decided to do a little side quest, so I only just unlocked that mechanic and haven't really got a shot to try it out yet.

Unfortunately I encountered a bug that has made one of my crew mates completely disappeare. And of course it was the girl I wanted to romance.... I've tried a bunch of tricks from Reddit forms to try and make her reappear, but to no avail.

You're just going to have to romance Barrett instead.

Growing up I never really got into the Pokemon scene. I was a filthy Yu-Gi-Oh kid.

He was the first companion that had a flirt option. He's pretty funny, so I do take him everywhere, but nah, I'm good with just being buddies.

I keep getting the option for Barrett... but Andreja is my jam. I haven't gotten the quest yet, but I'm sure it is coming soon.

Mainly because she doesn't really give a F what I do with my play style. I don't beat down on the poor or disadvantaged, but cruel justice is something she can get down with. The others all get too offended when I play.

I've also changed my opinion on the Adoring Fan. He's the perfect mayhem compadre.

I also picked the adoring fan. Having a companion that's down for any and everything is always great.

I'm still hopeful that a patch will come to make my lost companion reappear. Or maby I could even find a way to force spawn her with console commands.

I had to ditch Barrett for Andreja because he got all mad when I killed people (even when they started it!)

It was the side quest where some dudes were planning a robbery and the lady reporting wanted me to be a narc instead of handling it. I chose to handle it, by handle I mean kill. The popup "Andreja liked that." I don't know if it was a bug or legit, but I got a chuckle.

Lies of P is sneaking up coming out in early access here in a couple of days. If the demo was indicative of the final product we are gonna have a really special game on our hands and probably the closest thing we're ever gonna get to a Bloodborne successor.

Today's Nintendo Direct all but confirmed Fall 24 for the new Switch. Dump all the ports and nothing big coming at all in 2024.

One of the worst presentations in recent memory. Crazy we only got one game from the Odyssey team throughout the entire life cycle of the Switch.

My bet is they are the launch team... along with TotK Complete (some DLC so you pay to upgrade).
