Mario on acid is looking pretty fun. I probably won't be Day 1 with other games, but I'll certainly be picking it up.

Mario on acid? I remember Mario in Mario 64 with his ass on fire yelling “wa-a-a-a-a“. I relate to Mario

I’ve been trying to avoid too much with Starfield… but it really sounds like Fallout/Skyrim in space with a small amount of bugs compared to other Bethesda games, with some of the typical Bethesda jank.

I'm also trying to avoid everything out there right now. But yes, it does sound like it will consume every second of my free time in 4 days.

I just peeked into a few things to make sure it wasn't having all sorts of bugs or issues (and it sounds like those are very minimal, especially for a Bethesda game)... and saw it wasn't an outright disaster of hype. It is back to my hole, until the pleebs can join in on the fun.

No spoilers but I woke up for work yesterday at 5:30 AM and didn't think I would have enough juice in the tank to really experience the game last night (I'm EST so it released at 8PM for me). I ended up playing until like 4AM this morning since I had the day off haha. I'm having an amazing time with it so far.

yeah reviews look good enough to me... so far a lot of "this game gets good after 20 hours of gameplay" and one that was "best Bethesda game since Oblivion"... so I'm probably gonna splurge for the $30 'upgrade' to premium and get a good 50 hours in this weekend  especially with labor day (paid holiday) Monday

The gist that I have gotten is if you liked Fallout 4 and just want a space sci fi version, you'll love this game. Which is exactly what I expected.

The real pain in the ass of having international work is that US (and Canada) Labor Day is different from most countries... so I'm working Monday.

As I eagerly await Starfield to hit game pass I've been passing my game time playing Armored Core VI. I'm thoroughly enjoying this game. The boss enemies are a tough challenge that feels like a puzzle. Finding the right load out to take them down can be frustrating since they don't give you nearly enough money to buy all the equipment, but once you do find it, it's extremely satisfying. I hope I can finish it before Starfield comes out on Wednesday.

Since getting back in town last night, I’ve only left my house to go to the skate today. Starfield is glorious. It’s not perfect but it’s what I wanted. Frustrating in areas but I’ve already gotten so many random missions from just wandering around.

RoboCop gameplay looks like a moderately successful 2012 remake of a PS2 game from 2004.
Same was said about their Terminator game... and that was phenomenal.

First night in Starfield was fun. Already got arrested, but did something to get out of it (those who have been arrested so far will get it)... who I will promptly betray. Why? Because F'em that's why. The Adoring Fan is a nice nod... but I kinda regret picking it for the lolz. I gotta find a place to dump that loser so I don't have to listen to him any more. The outpost part seems like a real grind that I won't really get into. Definitely a RPG fighting system where levels matter much more than pure skill (totally expected this), but gunplay is surprisingly solid. The worldbuilding is great and what you'd expect from Bethesda.

I'm thinking the RoboCop and Terminator games I should get on the Steam sale. Not sure if I'd appreciate either at full price, but after hearing y'all talk about them I feel like I should give them a try.

Certainly don't pay full price, but $20 or below, the Terminator game is well worth it. I'm guessing the RoboCop one will be too.

I'll be double dipping on the Terminator one in October for the XSX upgrade. I got the original on PS4 on a sale on Gamefly for like $15 (it does upgrade to PS5 but I haven't gotten one yet). I wanna give another playthrough with the upgrades.

I'm really liking Starfield so far. I am a little sad that I only got one of the ending in Armored core vi though. I guess I'll have to save the other 2 for a different day.

20 hours in and Starfield is f great. The more you play the better it gets and there are some amazing side missions. It isn’t a game of the year sort to me… but I think this will be one of the best games of the generation.l
