Goaltending regressed for sure... Rest of team is better.
As for respect... Maybe the Oilers should have shown Pietrangelo what Canucks Bertuzzi showed to Moore after his actions against nucks
Why do you keep reverting to the Canucks? You seem to think I care about it lol

That playoff flop is going to taste so bitter to the Oilers. They had it ALL there for the taking this year. Laid out so well. And nope. All the way BACK to square 1 with everyone else. Cap issues coming. McDrai window closing. Bitter and long offseason indeed.

How’s this taste. Petro was a +4 with assist in game 6. 21 minutes.

I honestly don't think Oilers have peaked. If they get rid of Yamamoto, they're still able to bring back essentially the same team, with one of Holloway/Lavoie/Bourgault taking his spot. They get a full season of Ekholm, with a likelihood of Desharnais and Broberg being better players. Not to mention, I think Skinner will learn and become better as a Sophomore. Oh another big thing, Bouchard has clearly taken a step forward. If somehow Oilers can upgrade Campbell and keep the same roster, I actually see them better next season.

Vegas was the better team this series for sure, but I legit feel Oilers would have forced game 7 with Campbell.

I agree with you on the Holloway/Lavoie/Bourgault comment. I disagree on Desharnais. I think what you currently see is what you get with him, he turns 27 in a couple of weeks. He's a decent depth option but he's very limited in what he can do. Gotta hope Broberg makes some strides in his game and finds some confidence.

Desharnais physical aspects will probably not get better, but with more experience, his mental game, and understanding of the league should.

McDavid has the best season in the last 20ish years and they’re out in round 2.

Best player in the playoffs Draisaitl -4 tonight.

Hockey is a cruel game.

Did he score any point after the Pietroangelo slash?

Tough loss. GG vegas. I think it would have been a different series if Campbell got the start tonight but obviously coach knows best.

As for inability to score 5/5 and lack of depth scoring - Vegas is a good team. Its not supposed to be easy to score goals on them or beat them. Its virtually impossible to score 5/game. I feel for Skinner but he shouldn't have been there.

Vegas played good, they’re a tight checking team, and I give Eichel a ton of credit, he was the best out of all the big guns this series, but FML did every bounce go Vegas’ way. And the officiating was poor. This is a bitter loss for those reasons.

This was the year for Edmonton. Vegas is good but beatable and it's just a weaker year in the West in general. Colorado will be back next year and be upgraded.

I'm not so sure it will be all that easy for Colorado with Mack's extension kicking in. They have Landeskog's money to play with, but that's a team with a lot of guys making their post cup money on it. Lots of spots to fill with not that much money to go around.

Can McDavid win an actual f***ing cup before we anoint him better than the greats of all time? Is that too much to ask? Dude has completely failed as a captain so far.

While I agree he shouldn't be mentioned as an all time great at this point, its not all on him either. He should do his part and try to improve defensively, the Oiler's team defense isn't doing them any favors.
