Vegas Knights goalie came through when he had too. Oilers played well, but Vegas goalie came through. No name goalie.

Once again, I cannot believe that people had the Kings coming out of the West, let alone the Pacific. It's incomparable how much more complete Vegas is than both LA or Edmonton.

I think we all slept Bon them because of how many goalies they had to use this year.

No matter what team you are, you can’t win games when your goalie lets in 4 goals on less than 15 shots 2 games in a row. Skinner deserves a lot of blame, Woody deserves just as much for being blind and thinking this rookie goalie who can’t control rebounds is going to “bounce back”.

Bettman got what he wanted. Let’s decide to put the whistles away because it benefits one team. Edmonton got punished this postseason for having a historic PP. They need to improve their 5 on 5 play or learn how to dive better

Congrats Vegas. Many people were critical of them because they missed the playoffs last year but look at them now. A very well put together team and getting Cassidy as a coach was a fantastic hire.
Edmonton should not be ashamed or panic. This team is on the right track. This years team is better than the conference final team last year. Much better depth. It was just Vegas’ year to come out of the Pacific this year.

‘Good take. Vegas has way more depth and it showed. Better team won. Edmonton needs a few more pieces

Woodcroft is largely responsible. Why would you stick with Skinner...you always go with the hot hand. It's not entirely on Skinner. Also seems to be regular season coach and not a playoff one.
I don't blame him for not trusting Campbell either but you're right you have to at least try it. I dunno if Campbell got scored on in all his relief appearances.

Has to sting for the Oilers. Everything was kind of falling into place with Dallas/Kraken looking shaky, Boston/Toronto/TBL falling early.

They probably would've gone all the way if they get through Vegas.

I honestly don't think Oilers have peaked. If they get rid of Yamamoto, they're still able to bring back essentially the same team, with one of Holloway/Lavoie/Bourgault taking his spot. They get a full season of Ekholm, with a likelihood of Desharnais and Broberg being better players. Not to mention, I think Skinner will learn and become better as a Sophomore. Oh another big thing, Bouchard has clearly taken a step forward. If somehow Oilers can upgrade Campbell and keep the same roster, I actually see them better next season.

Vegas was the better team this series for sure, but I legit feel Oilers would have forced game 7 with Campbell.
