I get it. I'm not saying he was being a good sport but Pietrangelo very realistically could have broken the wrist of that hand he was supposed to shake with. I'm just saying it's understandable.
The line he’s giving you about Crosby and Lidstrom is pure fiction.

Drai is hardly the first player to do this in the line.

But that's the point, that the DoPS doesn't know their own ass from their head. If Pietrangelo had done that to any other player on any other team in the league, the fans of that team would be wanting more than a game. That was one of the dirtier (and dumber) plays in recent playoff history.

Kane's running crosscheck into Pietrangelo's neck was worse...

It really wasn’t, everyone outside of Edmonton was calling it a 1 game suspension right after it happened.

DoPS is terrible but fairly predictable.

Anyways, moving on

Didn't even think about it much. Care more about the general principle on sportsmanship but you're right. It's not weird for this sport. I'd say it's unacceptable in the few times a player starts jawing at an opponent in the middle of the handshake line. Only instance I can recall was Doan doing it in a playoff loss.

Didn't Lucic do it to Dale Weiss after that Boston/Montreal series from ... forget the year?

Vegas against Carolina most likely.

Oilers will be back. This feels like the first time McDavid has had a solid foundation around him.

At least the NHL got what they wanted to "grow the game" with the thinking that the Canadian fan base will still watch the games. Now that I learned what Corn Hole is and how important it is, I'll definitely be watching that instead. :)

It's always the league or the ref's fault, the Oilers never lose
Did I blame anyone? I said the league got what they wanted. That's not blaming. I do think the League is poorly run and an embarrassment though but that has little to do with Oilers losing.
