Over the moon. Feels like 2018 is redeemed. So happy the Golden Knights did the cup handoff through the original 6 Misfits. Don't care whatever hate comes our way. This is a night I'll never forget.
Really happy for you and your group here, my friend.

As a fan of the game I want every fanbase to experience a championship in their lifetime.

All due respect, but how storied is Buffalo really? They had some interesting teams in the mid 70s, a couple of noteworthy players in the early 90s, a Hasek Era, a couple of regular season wonders, then darkness.

It's not just that Vegas won a Cup first, they actually have as many Finals appearances in 6 tries as the Sabres have in 52. "Storied" is not the word that springs to mind.

Congrats to the knights but it amazes me how a storied franchise as the Buffalo Sabres (1970) don't have a cup yet an expansion Knights team (2017) do... The NHL has expanded to the point of the USFL dumbness...
maybe because the Sabre ownership sucks, and management sucks. I dont think its an expansion issue.

If the Sabres were given the same opportunity as Vegas or Seattle that group would still screw it up.

Tough series for the Florida Panthers but I don't think they have anything to hang their head about. Just ran out of gas against a better team. Much like Vegas did in 2018.

Still made it further than 30 other teams and I think if you said they'd be in the SCF halfway through their season most people would have laughed in your face.

gotta love a GM who does not overate prospects and chooses to go for it.

Salary cap and age will catch up, but one fan base is gonna wait at least 31 years to see their team hoist the cup. Vegas got theirs so if there are some rough years ahead not a big deal.

Oh and either Oilers or Kings will play Vegas on banner raising day at T-Mobile.

Ok, but again... we're basically talking about having maybe the 5th or 6th best forward in the league for a few years, who never won meaningful hardware of any kind. That's great if your franchise has been around for 10 years, but we're talking about fifty two years and that's the best they're bringing to the table? It's not a franchise you point to and wonder how they never won a Cup... they never won because they were only good enough to win in maybe 3 or 4 of those 52 seasons.
