I see mark stone has made it of Robidas Island in time for game one of playoffs. He must of been in good shape to swim all the way to Vegas. LOL
No they are outright declaring they are, some question, the majority have declared them cheaters.
So if they are declaring either they operating on different CBA than the NHL and PA have, or the have some proof, if so I want the damn proof, not just speculation and conjecture.
difference is ARI isnt getting a huge advantage heading in to the playoffs every year. Taking on big contracts while receiving "late draft picks" isnt the same at all. Theyre basically prolonging a rebuild. Thats their problem. It is, of course. The point is, many things are in that category and yet the league does nothing. All those injured players traded to ARI and never playing a game for them ring a bell? Robidas island? Blatant LTIR shenanigans happen all the time.
"A feature of the CBA" is certainly a way to word it. It's a loophole that they are abusing in back to back years now, it's pathetic and frankly defeats the alleged purpose of the cap (Parity)it's a feature of the CBA... not a bug.
To make it appear that he is barely healthy enough to practice but is preparing a return that coincidentally lines up with when the playoffs start. I hope these guys get absolutely pummeled in the first round. Nobody likes a cheater, it's pathetic what this organization is doing. Why announce the is cleared to practice? Other than wanting to troll the rest of the NHL.
Absolutely, docs will rule him far too injured and risky to play in game 82 but perfectly healthy with no risk to play in the most physical part of the season 2 days later.I am going to go out on a limb and say while he can't medically get clearance to play now, magically he will be medically cleared to play come game #1 of the post-season.
kind of hope for an injury in the playoffs. This is a joke. This loophole needs to close. If you don't come off LTIR and play before the last game of the regular season, you are ineligible for the playoffs.Excellent. Stone is unquestionably the Golden Knights MVP in every way. They're a completely different team with him in the lineup. Hope he's good to go for round one.
Also, most of the whining about Vegas utilizing the CBA to their benefit seems to be just sour grapes; that the owner or owners of the team they're a fan of isn't as aggressive in trying to win. But so it goes

I mean that's the problem though right? Literally everyone 100% knew what was going to happen.Guys, come on. There’s absolutely no way we could have known this was going to happen. None whatsoever. Impossible.
Not a loophole and there's literally nothing the league can or will do about it.kind of hope for an injury in the playoffs. This is a joke. This loophole needs to close. If you don't come off LTIR and play before the last game of the regular season, you are ineligible for the playoffs.
Well, it got them a cup so....To make it appear that he is barely healthy enough to practice but is preparing a return that coincidentally lines up with when the playoffs start. You must be young, Dallas teams in the late 90s were absolutely stackedSucks as a Dallas fan we will probably finish 1st in the West with our strongest team in forever and our reward is playing the actual strongest team in the West (when fully healthy) and the team we match up the worst against.
Oh well I guess, all paths will lead through Vegas anyways if you wanna win the Cup.
Actually the solution is quite elegant. Not a loophole and there's literally nothing the league can or will do about it.
That quote unquote solution is horribly myopic and would never ever pass muster. Because here's the thing, injuries happen to every single team, and there's not a single GM out there who would be okay with having their players forced to sit out because of injuries.

Trust Me as an oilers fan saying this lolol
