Vegas about to circumvent cap again? UPD: Mark Stone back practicing.

Stone goes on LTIR a couple weeks before the deadline and Vegas adds a top pair D a top line C and a 2nd line W.

LTIR definitely working as intended.

I'm sure Stone won't be back for the playoffs.

Your team can do the same thing, get a better GM.

Cheaters continuing to cheat.

Koodo’s to VGK for being the team bold enough to pull this off. If it’s not going to be penalized, then our teams are all fools for not doing the same.

In Vegas, the house always win, even if the house is cheating and there is not a dam thing you can do about it.

If only.

Holland is a complete loser and has been his entire time as an Oiler GM.

Doesn't mean that what Vegas is doing isn't blatant and obvious cap circumvention that the league decides to look the other way on.

It is in the rules.

The funny thing is that Vegas can be $20-$30 million over the cap, go the cup. And Ottawa losses a 1st round draft pick because they did not ask a player to waive.

I'm no fan of of the job that Blake is doing in LA, but I have to give him a little bit of credit. It would've been easy for him to do the same with the injured Arvidsson--spend his salary on an acquisition and then activate him from LTIR for the playoffs--but he apparently prefers to just have Viktor back as soon as he's healthy.

I mean, that money still needs to be paid. Sure teams with an owner willing to spend that much extra cash can do it, but I don't think that is all teams.

I suspect Bett(ing)man get inside information from Vegas? He clearly has a retirement-table with unlimited stacks ready for him there.

There is no doubt if this happened in either MLB or NBA? The leagues would have step in. Not in the NHL. It is joke. Vegas could ice a 100 mill dollar line-up for game one of the playoffs. But NO--it is not circumvention? For the NHL to allow this shows why the NHL is the least respected or popular sporting leagues in the states. By allowing this? NHL loses fans they do not gain them.
