Vancouver led the league in points at Christmas, Can they continue this run into the New Year?

Thank you for the context.

For some reason the OP wasn’t willing to help me understand his cryptic post when asked.

Eh, maybe I'm getting old but I'm also getting increasingly frustrated at having to explain things to people on the internet. Not saying this applies to you specifically, but I work around younger (18-23) people and they, as well as far too many older people, just don't know how to google things. I didn't know what they were talking about either, I just googled "Evander Kane betting" and it came up.

Admittedly, the post was more cryptic than some others, but I was much more willing to explain things on HF ten years ago, while now I see having to explain things in detail incredibly exhausting.

They're top of the league at staying healthy up there with the least man games lost. And it's only December. All it takes is for a few key players to get injured for everything to come crashing down like a house of cards on fire.

It'd really suck if all the injuries start piling up around spring just before the playoffs and they go ice cold. Especially after someone starting this jinx thread and it gets BUMPED back to the top of the forum. Whoooo-Weeeeee!

All that is unpredictable, however. But what is very predictable is Hronek gonna GET PAID after the career year of his life - he's gonna get the type of contract that gets a GM fired after a few years. So keep that Brinks truck fueled up and close by. You gonna need it!

They remind me of last years Devils, 0 expectations after being such a shit team for so long. Things finally start to click and younger players begin hitting their stride.

Could see them rolling along and winning a round and then to fall off similarly.

Canucks fans are too busy enjoying being first in the league to worry about jinx threads.

Besides, the vast majority of Canuck fans understand the team is playing somewhat above their potential, they're just happy to not be out of the playoffs by December for the first time since 2015.

How is it even a jinx thread? The thread title is a mere factual observation that is noteworthy/unexpected (if anything, with a cheeky dig/self-dig at Canucks fans having been overzealous in the past, with the "quietly" reference).

The validity of that doesn't change even if they become terrible starting next week.

Are you all about doom and gloom? Injuries can happen and has happened to canucks. Suter and soucy was injured. But your post sounds salty or based on jealousy. Saying Canucks will have major injuries and Hronek will get paid huge and Canucks will start to suck is based on jealousy of Canucks playing good this season. Wishing injuries upon a team usually ends up in karma.

You don't get to this point in the season still near or at the top of the standings by fluke. Vancouver is a good team and play a good game. They will make the playoffs and won't be a pushover.

Your enthusiasm for the Canucks is flattering.

Saucy has been injured for over a month. But at least you have a backup plan. A top pairing defenseman getting paid !
