Confirmed Trade: [VAN/DET] Filip Hronek and 2023 4th round pick for 2023 NYI 1st round pick and 2023 2nd round pick

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server

I thought the Canucks didn't need offensive RD. Their fans assured me of that.

What us fans know we need seems not to jive with what management thinks.

And based on how terrible our management has been for about a decade now, I don't think this is on the fans for getting it "wrong".

wtf for both teams. what are you doing?

What offensive-minded RD is left on the trade market that Stevie Y has his sights set on?

It’s not that bad from a pure asset standpoint, but just why? He’s a rhs but also undersized. Weird trade, good return for Detroit.

it's a bit of WTF deal for both teams but Alvin / Rutherford did say they weren't rebuilding and wanted young-cost controlled pros to go along with the young core.

That's a lot. Hronek is decent but surely Detroit could now use that 1st to get another D like Fabbro and have change. Or just use the 2nd to upgrade the 1st and get one of the best D prospects this year.

That seems like about as random of a trade as it could possibly be?
Why is Detroit trading him and why are the Canucks trading for him?
Seems like "one of those tpp good to pass up" kind of Deals for Detroit.

This could be like the 15th and 40th picks for a guy who's not in their long term plans
