We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.
What This Means for You:

I can't believe Vancouver traded a top 16 pick AND a second for Hronek. WOW.

I'm kinda shocked, but I think this is a good move.
Hronek is a solid d-man, but he was overachieving this season. His value was likely never going to be higher. Defensively he's a real mixed bag and doesn't fit Yzerman's profile (size+skating). Wings are also really strong on defensive prospects.
Very interesting to see if Yzerman is doing this to keep the picks or make more moves.

I don't like the price, but I like the 25 year old RHD. So we paid a premium at the deadline - not sure I like the timing of this by the Canucks management.
To anyone saying this isn't what the Canucks need.....ANY serviceable NHL defenseman is what the Canucks need - I just wish we didn't pay the TDL price premium.

Has to be IMO. He kind of fits their age group as they try and build a contender.
Tho it'll be ironic, given Arizona drafted him with the pick they got for taking on Datsyuks contract.
