Wow I like Hronek and he is only 25 years old, but thats a lot to pay for him if that Islanders pick ends up being pretty high.

I don't think I would march there. It is a long ways from Van City to TO where the hockey HoF is. I think I would drive.

This trade makes absolutely no sense to me for either team. There's gotta be more coming. I don't understand why Vancouver gives up the draft capital, and I don't understand why Yzerman gives up Hronek in his breakout season, given the sad state of our defensive "depth".
There was a need to move someone out this summer, but I was really hoping it would be the Chiarot experiment ending early, not Hronek being shipped out...
