Come on guys, say ONE POSITIVE thing about tonight's game. Yeah, even if it kills you. For some of you, especially if...

No seriously, you'll feel better. I'll start.

Quick didn't suck as much tonight. Go!

Who do we play next? I promise you next game we will only lose by two. I have faith in this team they can do it.

You see Lombardi trading Kopitar in a year he doesn't have a first round pick?

I miss 3% shooting.

Is Muzzin -5 or -6 at this point?

Quick played well.

**** it.

You bring up a valid point. But Dean has just completely butchered everything he has touched since June 2014 and pinned himself in this corner.

If the Kings miss the playoffs again it's time to acknowledge the Kopitar/Brown/Quick window is shut and act accordingly.

Hehe well we know Kopitar is not blind at least.

Kopitar "We are making soft plays all over the ice, and it's costing us".

Boys are trying to get GM and Coach fired I said it! I know you guys are thinking it. ;)

There's many ways this season can go, especially after 3 games, but trading Kopitar isn't the answer. Trading your 28 year old elite first line center, who likely wants to be here, for a rental package in response to recent turmoil that does not indicate a need for a rebuild is crazy. Also, Futa and Dean are very similar minded. If you were looking to change the direction of the organization, swapping Dean for Futa wouldn't accomplish much in that department.

I agree but I will say that an 8 year Kopitar deal concerns me right now because of his play. But that will also depend on what the AAV is.

It's hard not to react emotionally to this emotionless boring play but it still is only three games. The thing that makes it really tough is there have been little to no positives from it with the exception of Brown skating like he used to. There is no leadership and no pulse. The team looks tentative to start games, gives up a goal or two and it turns into hero hockey with even less structure. The team is no doubt missing leadership but they aren't playing the way they used to. They are getting rattled and taking poor penalties or making poor decisions with the puck.

I don't have the answers. As Frank Drebin once said, "like a blind man in an orgy, we're just going to have to feels things out".

I sat on the remote and accidentally changed the channel for about ten seconds.

I've always loved Kopitar but his best years are behind him and he hasn't looked at all like the elite center he was even 2 years ago this season and for too much of last season. The amount he's going to want isn't worth it to keep him. Do you really think he's worth $9+ million for the next 8 years? He's not worth anything over $7 at this point.

I will say though, I hope he proves me to be very wrong. But I don't see it happening.

Kopitar's game isn't based on physicality or elite goal scoring (where most players peak at the age he is now) why would anyone think he's only going to go down from here? Kopitar has plenty of high level years left in the tank.

I think Greene/Erhoff are done as Hockey players.

Both way too slow moving the puck. Greene would be fine if he could move the puck quicker, but his best playing days are behind him as well.

Yeah, I love Dean, but I think so as well.

Time to move upstairs Dean, and let Futa clean up this mess.

Toffoli, Carter, Doughty, Kopitar, Pearson, Gaborik, Muzzin, Lucic at ES:

0 goals, 1 assist, 1 point, 37 shots. The one assist was a secondary assist, on a deflected goal, with the actual play made by Brown, in the first few minutes of the season. Pearson coming back from a broken leg, it's not a knee, but it still might take some time. The rest of them, they're getting a big check.

Toffoli scored shorthanded assisted by Carter, no? I mean come on man, it's one of two goals we've scored all year...

Weal did not have any turnovers.

I you want to keep Kopitar, shuffle the wings. I know he's been playing decent, but Brown is such an obvious trade target here. He has a **** contract, he's no longer producing, and he plays less of an impact position. Trading Brown would also wake up pretty much everyone. If we're a good chunk of points out of the playoffs by 30 games or so, I think you look there to start. Either the team crumbles entirely after such a move, and then you trade everyone, or they right the ship.

Didn't see the Andreoff fight did he stay on his feet at least. I guess I can take that as a possitive.

"it is what it isn't" - Anze kopitar

I think that people that suspected that guys like Mitchell, Williams, Stoll, Greene, and Scuderi came into the room and gave the rest of these guys a kick in the ass were right.

Contract makes him pretty much trade proof, he is owed too much money over the next three seasons for even a bottom feeder(with loads of cap space) to entertain the idea.

Why trade the one guy that is actually showing SOME energy in the top 6 at this point?
