If Scottie is slightly better, the Raps could contend for top 4. If he takes a bigger leap, the sky is the limit.Raps did not do anything major, so how much are we banking on Scottie to take a huge leap forward in his development? What is expected of him in his 2nd year? How good is he? I am way more interested in the Raps this season than the Leafs so I am hoping Raptors can be really good.
There's a suggestion coming out of Boston that he had the relationship, it ended, and he kept making comments towards the female (even after being asked to stop).Suspended for one year, which will likely lead to his permanent removal at some point. He was told to cease and desist but went against the organization. Hence, his career as NBA head coach is likely over. Never go against the organization, thats a career killer. Any long term sports fan on this board should know that.
This franchise pushes "culture" so much but they essentially cut this guy loose for 1 mistake which may have been inadvertent. I won't take them seriously ever again on that topic. For some reason, the management doesn't value half court offense which Harris provides.
That was my interpretation at the time especially given his foot injury. It was also his explanation. But, there is no hard evidence. Honestly, he was one of handful of guys who could beat his man off the dribble both ways. Teams zone up the Raps for a reason.I agree on the need for organizations to provide recovery services and treatment support to those that have abused drugs, but how do we know it may have been inadvertent? We don't know the history here and I don't think his on court value is that impactful to warrant a roster spot.

Don't even know if NBA has TUE clause, but not likely for a strong opioid. But he made a mistake, and paid for it. They could have let him go to Knicks as you said. But they lost Brissett in a similar way. These guys are useful end of bench/rotation pieces that are cheap. I don't care for the NBA system as it comes to young players like this. They're on the clock immediately and basically have maybe 1 season to secure a role with the team. That's tough for both sides. And in that case he could've/should've applied for a therapeutic use exemption. After his suspension he was reinstated and the Raps qualified him. Maybe they let him go to the Knicks because both parties mutually agreed it was a better opportunity for him to get back in the NBA? I just don't think they were proactively trying to cut him.
a bunch of dudes can get together and form a superteam and win a championship
what kind of league is that?
