Harper released his 2nd mock draft, and this time he has Raptors taking Suggs. He previously had Green falling to the Raptors. Here are his analysis.

Detroit is taking Cunningham so no change there as expected.
At no 2, he says Rockets want Cunningham but doesn't think they want to pay what Detroit asks for. Says all of Mobley, Suggs and Green are in the mix to go here but has them taking Green when before he had Suggs, but this is only because Houston is sending smoke screens. The smoke screens are that the Rockets might be throwing stuff out there to see if a team will send a crazy porposal to them. They are trying to confuse the other teams. Says there is a good chance for a trade but for now thinks they will just pick.

At no 3, he has the Cavs taking Mobley just like before. This is a no brainer.

At no 4, Raptors take whoever is left of the big 4 and this time it's Suggs. He had Green to them previously. This is where it gets interesting. Raptors could retool and trade Siakam to get younger and make a big splash. They could trade this pick for a veteran.

i will never trust cleveland to make the right decision, so until they do we could be getting either mobley or suggs. i DO believe theres too much floating around for houston not to be taking green.

We are in a good spot. We just sit and pick who is left.

I do get the feeling, hopefully with an extension in his pocket shortly, that Masai and Webster will look to make a splash this off-season.

I can’t shake the feeling that Siakam might be moved.

i think if mobley is the pick then theres a higher chance siakam is moved since mobley will probably take 2 or 3 years to really acclimate physically to the nba. if suggs is who we draft i think the FO will have a harder time moving him since we are likely still a playoff team as long as we find a decent 5. the issue with this team is that siakam has shown hes not "the guy" so we probably need a number one option, especially in the half court, watching siakam operate 1v1 can be painful lol. im of the mind set that we are in a unique position given this lottery win and given how deep this years draft appears to be this might be a great shot to fully reload the clip of the fly, maybe get one more lottery pick next year and be back in business...man theres so many intriguing option thoughout the first round.

i mean either one of these picks is a game changer for us, but man if we could help mobley reach his full potential he will be an absolute nightmare to play against.

I could see something like this if the Raptors development team thinks they can get something more from Simmons, especially as a playmaking power forward. Similar to Draymond but better. But he needs to have balls to take a shit outside of the paint.

The trade would also have the Raptors picking up Golden States 7th and 14th overall pick as well. The more I think about it, I kind of like it.

Especially if you can add the 14th pick to the 4th and try and get the 3rd or 2nd to make sure we get Jalen Green and add a bit to get S.Barnes. Even a future 1st down the line.

Pg- Van Vleet/Flynn
Sg- Green/Trent Jr/Bembry
Sf- OG/Wiggens/Watanabe
Pf- Simmons/Barnes
C- Wiseman/?

Just have to sign a back up center and that team could be good for a while. Simmons and Barnes do a lot of similar things and could provide great d and good passing out of the post to our shooter. If Jalen Green and Wiseman turn into what they have the potential to do. That could be a very deep lineup.

So amazing to be in a position that any of the 2-4 are excellent fits.

All the analysts are echoing that where any one is automatically a great fit for the Raptors. Position and needs aside, everyone just knows how masterful our player development team is. We're truly a model organization and I'm so proud of these guys for creating that image for our franchise.

Secretly hoping for Mobley, but I'll be elated to get Suggs or Green.

I think Simmons is a better fit here than Philly tbh. Not saying I want him or we should trade for him but we got guards who can shoot the 3 and OG who can pretty well. Boucher a threat too if we start him. Makes Simmons life easier because he can attack the rim quite easily if they don't stack the paint and if they do then he should easily get over 10 assists a game. Also helps that he can defend every position and lockdown whoever he guards. I just feel like somehow the Lakers are gonna do something to get him since LeBron loves him I believe.

i just dont think he can be fixed, maybe if he switches to his right hand or something lol. but many a guy that skilled who is scared to shoot is not somebody i want. but ye, defensively we would be terrifying with him OG FVV and siakam on the floor.

I hope the Raps also somehow get Sengun in this draft by trading for a pick.

I like him but I fear his footspeed will prevent him from effectively defending. He'll score though but I think he'll be a weak link defensively.

If I'm grabbing an additional pick, I love J.T Thor or Shariff Cooper.

Finals tomorrow. Trade talk today - Marc Stein

Simmons has to brace for the very real possibility that he winds up with a team he doesn't choose.

The 76ers have insisted they will not be rushed or pressured into trading Simmons no matter how many outsiders declare his partnership with Joel Embiid irreparable. Debate about Simmons' trade value and how much it has cratered in the wake of his miserable postseason has nonetheless bubbled all over the league since the buzzer sounded on Philadelphia's Game 7 home loss to Atlanta.

The reality: It’s not clear yet how much it suffered after Simmons shot 34.2 percent from the free-throw line and, worse, attempted three measly three fourth-quarter shots in those seven games against the Hawks.

Numerous teams want him. The natural question: Will any of them assemble an offer that win-now Philadelphia and president of basketball operations Daryl Morey find palatable? Draft picks can help Morey only so much.

The length of Simmons’ contract, if not the dollars, only adds to his appeal to teams that do not typically attract free agents. He has four seasons left on his contract at nearly $150 million — and the team control that comes with that status, in most cases, is bound to outweigh any trepidation teams might feel about the pressure Simmons' agent Rich Paul can apply to dissuade them from pursuing him.

Just scan through the teams that have been linked to a Simmons trade already: Cleveland, Indiana, Minnesota and Sacramento are known suitors. Toronto is also said to have expressed interest. More will emerge.

Simmons, who turns 25 in a week, remains too tantalizing a target to discourage hopeful trade partners from shooting their shot. He’s too good defensively, too versatile and too dangerous in full fast-break flow. He also must prepare for the idea that the Morey-led Sixers will ultimately do what’s best for the Sixers.

It's not entirely a mental issue for him.

He can't shoot. If the D doesn't have to respect your jumper they can sag off on him and much more easily cut off all his other avenues and neutralize him.

The more and more i look at the 3 that could come to us, I am praying Mobley somehow falls. I feel that dude is going to be a legit star.
Yep Mobley is a likely all star IMO. Moves too well at 7ft. His defensive instincts are as good as previous all NBA defenders, and his overall skill is basically as good as you get for a 5 (passing, court vision, rim running, projectable perimeter shooting).

He's skinny, but that also makes him super agile, so... I hope he doesn't bulk up too much.

I'm not saying he's the next Giannis/AD MVP level player, but its not out of the question, and I'd expect him to be at a KAT or Bam level for sure.

The OG, Siakam, Mobley frontline is chip caliber talent and fit wise.

when you have an opportunity in an important playoff game for a gimme dunk, and you pass it off, thats a mental thing for me. outside of the paint hes clearly not a good shooter which changes how the defense plays him as you said. but he seems scared of the moment. hes avgd less than 14 points per game in 34 playoff games, and is a 52% FT shooter, all while making 0 total 3 pointers lol. i just dont think we should gamble on him being better than he is now. the dude is completely broken lol. but thats just my opinion.
