You can't? Imagine picking Bargnani #1.
Could be worse.
Imagine you take Darko Milicic then Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade come after

Nice to get the 4th overall pick.
We get a huge impact player with star potential to surround around Siakam, Vanvleet, Trent Jr, Boucher
Need another star player along with this 4th pick if we want to become a Suns/Utah-type contending team. Obviously whoever we get with the 4th pick will take 2-3 years before we can expect a booker/Mitchell-like playoffs but it's promising to see quality talent entering the raptors organization.

i would love suggs or green, and guards are a safer bet as picks imo, but man, mobley is really intriguing and would solve alot of problems for us.
its a really tough call, green could end up the best player in this draft too(definitely best scorer)...what a nice problem to have instead of who we were projected to pick with the 7th/8th/9th pick.
Easiest pick in the draft. Take whichever one of the top 4 is left and run away. Hyped we moved up.
No. KAT for the 4th plus filler, SGA for the 4th plus filler, Beal for the 4th plus filler.Would anyone do Siakam + 4th overall pick for Karl Anthony Towns?

Filler being Baynes, Hood to salary match.

What other Centers are available in free agency? Just him and Cody Zeller? They will likely be overpaid if there far less supply than demand.Noel makes sense for us, but he'll get a 3 + year deal based on the lack of talent available, and could easily turn in to a bad contract.
nobody worthwhile at all imo, maybe if cleveland takes mobley jarrett allen becomes available though...who knows. What other Centers are available in free agency? Just him and Cody Zeller? They will likely be overpaid if there far less supply than demand.
No. Seeing Cleveland probably takes Green because they already have Garland and Sexton I'd rather just keep Suggs (assuming no surprises) and Spicy. Suggs could easily turn into a franchise point guard that lets us sign and trade Lowry. KAT is awesome but no way should the Raps be willing to part with #4 in this draft to upgrade to him from Spicy.Would anyone do Siakam + 4th overall pick for Karl Anthony Towns?
Yeah, first year of no High-school talent allowed drained the pool, but remember if that was allowed we wouldn't have taken KD, it would have been Oden, who had a worse career than Bargnani. The best players in the top 10 that year were Aldridge (who we didn't think fit with Bosh) and Roy (who didn't get serious #1 consideration and had a career ruined by injuries). The top 4 was essentially a discussion about Aldridge, Adam Morrison, Bargnani and Tyrus Thomas. We didn't hit the home run (which would have been Aldridge), but didn't strike out like we would have with Thomas or Morrison. To be fair that entire draft was garbage.
I really wanted Aldridge but he also he terrible knees at his draft age so no guarantees on his career
I was just reading and any one of the big 4 solve a need for us. Green with his shot creation. Mobley for our big man issue. Suggs with his potential to be a lead player for us. Suggs shot making has me a bit hesitant but he's still fine in that area and should improve, but he has everything else you want. Suggs also fits the profile of what Masai usually likes in the draft. I am happy with any of them.No. Seeing Cleveland probably takes Green because they already have Garland and Sexton I'd rather just keep Suggs (assuming no surprises) and Spicy. mobley is a very unicorn style big, BUT he's also got the highest potential to bust imo, hes reealllly skinny and has the same problem as siakam does in post-ups, amazing defensively though, but he needs 40lbs to excel in the nba if you ask me. i think anyone on these 3 could end up being the best player with suggs having the highest floor and green having the highest ceiling imo. in this draft you should just take whichever player drops to 4th and dont waste picks trying to trade up to get either of the other 2, because all of these guys bring something that we need.Would a second round pick be enough to move up to 2 and draft Mobley?
No that wouldn't get it done and sitting at #4 is the best position, it takes all the risk away from getting it right.Would a second round pick be enough to move up to 2 and draft Mobley?

Would the Warriors to a Spicy for Wiggins and the 7th pick
i think the magic are way more likely to trade those 2 picks to the cavs for 3rd overall than us at 4, and the cavs are more likely to take that offer.No. 2nds are next to worthless in terms of trade value. They're the kinds of things you get tossed into deals that are otherwise close to even or when you're flipping a guy just to get him off your roster.
There's rumors that Orlando wants to move up into the top 4 from the 5th spot and that doing so would likely cost them that 5th pick and the 8th pick which they got in a trade with Chicago.
To be honest, if the Magic offered 5 & 8 to the Raptors for 4th, I'd consider it. I'm not necessarily advocating taking it, but a combo of, say, Scottie Barnes and one of Sengun, Wagner, Mitchell, Giddey or Jalen Johnson might be enough of an alternative to give you pause while you ponder.
I think Siakam is much more valuable than Wiggins so I wouldn't want to do that. Wiggins remains a somewhat one-dimensional volume scorer seemingly without the head or heart to maximize the value out of his defensive tool set. Siakam is also a volume scorer (exasperated by the fact that he's the #1 scorer for the Raptors while Wiggins is at best 3rd) but when he's locked in he's also a terrific defender 2 through 5.
Of secondary consideration is that most of the prospects in the 6-12 range on a lot of boards are also mid-sized perimeter wing guys so you're acquiring wiggins and then he coupled with Anunoby/Trent/whoever potentially chokes away the path to a rotation spot for that pick.
one thing that might have been mentioned that i love about suggs is he frees up VV to play off the ball alot more and spot up for threes, which is the best version of VV.
i love freddie, but few things in life are tougher to watch then him forcing up ill advised shots off the drive that end up getting blocked 80% of the time lol.
