Does it matter when there are like seven North American hockey fans who follow European hockey?Except that there are probably 20+ Hockey Clubs in European hockey.

What the mother f- is a Knickerbocker, why is the team in Toronto named after a foliage (obviously that’s not why but if we are just going to pretend to be ignorant then…) and why are famous teams in baseball called “Sox” and have actual socks for logos?
We can play this game all day. It’s weird because you aren’t used to it. Your ignorance doesn’t mean it can’t eventually work. Do you think the majority of folks actually know why most teams are named they were or what the true origin stories are? You don’t think regionally important names have been used throughout professional sports history?
No, except the name "Hockey Club" stinks and it's not unique.Does it matter when there are like seven North American hockey fans who follow European hockey?
I had to Google what a wasatch was...
And one in the eastern conferenceExcept that there are probably 20+ Hockey Clubs in European hockey.
I agree. I don't even know how to say the last one.Utah Hockey Club is by far the best option of the 3.
Utah Mammoth sounds terrible
Utah Wasatachi or whatever that is also sounds terrible
Coyotes was a cool name until I watched a video of coyotes crawling around Las Vegas at night. Looking for small dogs and cats to munch on.Even the other names being considered were awful. Ice? Powder? Venom?
Coyotes was a great name. We didn't know how good we really had it.
Yes.Am I crazy for liking Hockey Club the most?
Those are better than Jazz and Real Salt Lake (wtf there's no royalty in Utah and why Spanish, is it just because they thought Real Madrid was cool?)... but they aren't better by much.
Not unique at all. I believe there is a HC in every European league. Besides it would sound silly "Capitals vs Hockey Club", "Devils vs Hockey Club", etc.HC is so cool and unique. Hope they keep it
hc over mammoth lmao, this hockey not soccerNo because the other 2 are really bad.
Definitely call them the Mammoths. I'll be kind of upset if they don't. Would make for some sweet branding designs.
Yes.
the pittsburgh penguinMammothS, surely? Is it Mammoth singular? Ladies and gentlemen, your Anaheim Duck. There he is, swimming around.
If Yeti got turned down because of the cooler, Mammoth should get turned down because of the professional lacrosse team based in Colorado. Wouldn't want fans to get confused about which sport they are watching.
