Those are seriously the best the new franchise could come up with? Yuk.
All the focus groups and marketing pros and yea, this is their best effort.

I mean it's just a toy owned by Kroenke. It's like a tiny action figure in his collection. He likely doesn't care too much about the fee.im gonna go out on a limb and say that Yeti is an exponentially more valuable brand than an indoor lacrosse franchise. The cost to negotiate an agreement with Yeti would likely be prohibitively expensive and may even be a nonstarter from the cooler brand’s perspective.
Meanwhile they can probably license the Mammoth name for much cheaper, and it would probably be a smart business move on the part of the lacrosse franchise. That fee could easily equal 5-10+ years worth of their net revenue.
Not sure about the CO Mammoth’s specific financials but indoor and outdoor lacrosse franchises move or fold all the time (although I know the outdoor lacrosse team in Denver was one of the few profitable franchises in the MLL).
they will be called the Utah Mammoth WasatchI got this:
“According to Utah Native-American expert LaVan Martineau, the word "Wasatch" means frozen penis! On page 186 of Martineau's well-researched book on Utah indian legends, lore and language he records: "Wasatch -- the name comes from the Paiute and Ute Indian phrase pronounced Wuhu'Seai, meaning Frozen Penis.”
Best. Pro. Sports. Name. Ever.
100% with you. The other names are embarrassing for anyone over the age of 12.Am I crazy for liking Hockey Club the most?
Well, since one of the choices in Mammoth, I guess it would have to be Utah Lion. No plurals allowed anymore.Does it HAVE to be related to Utah? Why not just something generic like Lions or something?
Dairy Queen rejects this, just like Yeti.
