A coach is supposed to teach you right and wrong
What is wrong with hard coaching. He's not being an ass like Daryl Sutter with the kings lol
A high school and college coach can be a life mentorWhat? He's a football coach not a life mentor.
Hard coaching only benefits the coach. The players work harder and get burned out sooner while the coach gets a whole new class of recruits next year, so he really doesn't care about any negative long-term effects on his players.
Saying canned phrases like "It builds character" and "It prepares you for real life" is just manipulative bullshit.
A high school and college coach can be a life mentor
to many HS and college kids they are father figures"Most coaches aren't out to get you. They're out to get you to where you want to be one day."
As if most coaches have the players' best interests in mind, what a crock of shit
to many HS and college kids they are father figures
look at how Duke's former players talk with reverence about Coach K
That's a professional exampleI'm sure Michael Jordan wouldn't say that he was a hardass to his teammates to better prepare them for life or because he loved them.
No, he wanted to f***ing win, so he pushed his teammates to work as hard as he did and get on his level
That's a professional example
Professional coaches are different than high school and college coaches
