Watching season 1 and accidentally spoiled that Whitney wins.
I didn't HATE her, BUT the show definitely gave her a ton of undeserved spot light. She has been mediocre throughout this entire competition. She never surprises with flavors, its always "southern gravy" or "lemon coconut" or that shrimp strawberry abomination. She is good don't get me wrong, but they CONSTANTLY say that she's so natural and talented for being so young...except she's not that young! SLIM was 22, and there was another contestant that was 23. But we hear the judges OVER and OVER obsess over how young she is. The only time they mention Slim being young is in a negative light - like how she is inexperienced. Whereas Whitney is framed as a prodigy.

There were so many interesting chefs this season - Lee, Sheetal, Mike, Sharone, even freaking David Miller was so much more innovative than her.

But nooo they had to have some bullshit "prodigy," bland sorority girl who makes unoriginal food, win the competition because this is America.

Maybe she gets more interesting by the finale but so far I am not impressed and really annoyed that she won over Lee, David, Sheetal, and Sharone.

I never really minded the other games that are job simulators, but this is straight up making a game out of mundane chores.
