Aren't you lactose intolerant
I am but this is lactose free milk

it is just the same as normal milk which works for cooking mashed potatoes and mac and cheese

if you use soy milk it won't work as well ! (at least for making jell-o pudding)

Plant based milks work perfectly fine in those. There's also some vegan creams but they generally have tons of additive.

the instruction for jello said the pudding wouldn't set with soy or almond milk

they seem to work fine with lactaid or any lactose free milk
