gta 1 and 2 didn't have the charm of 3.

"That's not a massager."

she was too hilarious especially when she was torturing that mexican guy lol

gta 3 went overboard to throw in subtle sexual innuendo lol

"Miguel certainly has some of that famous Latin stamina. I'm exhausted."

this mission was so bad.

Each state in the original GTA had 2 chapters.

The first state in the original GTA (Liberty City) is/was the best of the bunch. I still remember where 90% of things are in both chapters.

The Vice City chapter was/is glitchy as hell.

But then again I don’t think they really expected most people to get that far. Or to like…actually take playing the missions seriously back then.

My dad was a dick about M-rated games because Fox News told him video games make serial killers.

He also told me that SA had gangs in it, and he didn't want me getting into that stuff.

Yeah, like a meek 13 year old white kid in the Pittsburgh suburbs is going to join a gang, lirl.

I didn't own SA until like 2005, when it became a PS2 greatest hit.

For the 120000090000000th time, “Espresso 2 Go” is easy. :eyeroll:

Get a fast car like the Banshee.

Smash the first espresso stand in Shoreside Vale by the police station, then (since the timer has now started) get the one at the airport.

Then smash each stand in Staunton Island. Order doesn’t matter much.

Finally, get the last 2 in Portland. First, smash the one by the harbour, then get the last one in St. Mark’s by the bistro.

If you do it that way, you’ll have time to spare.

The first M-rated game I bought was Unreal Tournament 2004.

My dad was so pissed that I bought it without telling him it was M-rated.

Little did he know about the custom maps that were straight up porn galleries.

I would be playing on the family computer when my usual invasion server would vote one of those maps. I would have to play an entire game staring at the ground and desperately avoiding the porn, otherwise I would get grounded and the game taken away from me.

you say this but the guy in the video barely passed the mission with 9 second to go.

if you pressed space bar to a woman in Duke Nukem 3d she would take her top off

that game was heavily sex based lol. Spent much of my teen years playing that game and nothing happened to me.

I never faced retribution.

Misleading headline.

"On Thursday, she announced draft federal legislation expected to go before Congress in mid-December that would ban the sale of violent video games to children."

I mean, I don't disagree. Children probably shouldn't be buying M-rated games on their own.

I can imagine it pissed off the shitty parents, as they might have to *gasp* be a responsible parent.

(As expected, no response to me correcting your misinformation.)

The first M game I played was a game called Wolfenstein 3d when I was 5 to 6 years old.

I never faced retribution. And here yinz all are talking about how your parents didn't let you play anything rofl.

I was in chat rooms in MSN Gaming Zone in 2001 talking shit and playing Rogue Spear.

Much of my HS days were spent playing freeware and downloaded video games. People would flat out download games to CD and sell them in the library. I got many a game for free from burned cd's like The Sims 1. And yes we went out to the store like 10 miles away to get the DLC.

Unfortunately I will admit this there isn't much life knowledge or education you could pick up from playing video games so from 2001-2007 I pretty much played video games all day. Even in college I would wake up at 6 AM for O&A, play Battlefield 2 on a japanese server, and go to class like 90 minutes later. Then go home, play more downloaded video games, and go to sleep.

AT the end of the day that's a lot of time wasted on video games instead of you know book learnin' or being productive. I was never a terrible student but I treaded water because of my video games. Shit, if I had applied myself harder and gotten A's and B's learnin' and readin' I probably would be employed today.

Real talk.

When I was in freshman year in 2003 - 2004 all I would do is play Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Rogue Spear and Call of Duty 1, the original one that wasn't ruined by popularity.

All those games were fine AF. The TDM in RTCW was amazing. You had this fire class so people would run around with the flamethrower.

They also had Battlefield 1942 / Vietnam around that time. Of course I played games so much on my laptop the damn thing died.

Now that I'm older I probably regret spending all that time gaming. Heck even for a math nerd just spending that time reading math books and studying youtube would lead to more success. But no I played video games allllll day. Dude those were the Halo days too before Halo was out on PC. Everyone in the dorm would have an Xbox set up with Halo split in 4 screens lol.

I think the first M-rated game that Little Me played was the shareware version of “Doom” back in ‘93

I was like 5.

I also remember owning/buying with my allowance a double pack of Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat II for the PC a year or so later.

you're too young to remember but hillary was reviled by everyone for trying to cancel games like GTA

republicans are all for free speech and lack of intervention so naturally something like GTA or Postal wouldn't be on their radar

Speaking of which I remember hearing about Postal 2. Downloaded it but never really played it.

Back in those days you didn't have as strong DRM so you could just download a game, get a key and play rofl.

MK, Street Fighter and Doom all came out when I was 7-10

I played them routinely and nothing bad happened to me. But in this hill-dog culture now everyone blames the vidya games for making people violent.

In full interests of being transparent here...

I did face some retribution.

I had a game boy mini, the more compact one, not the big gray one, taken away so I could "study". They used to hide it in their closet or something and I'd just go and take it back rofl. Then they got more tricky, taking it with them to work. I was like f*** that, search people's bags when they got back from work, get my game boy back.

Also I remember one time they's lock the computer LOL. Dude, the power cord, they used to put a lock on it. Joke's on you, if I can't access the computer I can't study.

Not that I would anyway I'd just play games.

My favorite is when my parents used to come into the library in our house and I'd have to alt tab it'd be like work ROFL. Here's this spreadsheet, I'm working here they leave alright alt tab right back to the game
