The first GTA I purchased was GTA IV I believe

Never purchased San Andreas and the first GTA I played was 3. I went over to somebody's house for a party and they had GTA 3 in their room. This was very very long ago.

I remember at the little mom n pop game store that I ended up getting the original GTA from, that it was actually behind the counter, and you had to ask for it, and show ID to buy or rent it, etc. :amazed: :amazed:

Crazy how things change.

The thing about GTA SA is that back then all you needed to do was REDACTED so you could easily get the game  I never paid a cent for it

Back when there was no cash flow and poor peasants like us had to download files and unrar them rofl

now i just spend whatever i want on games idc

"NCAA 2024 IS GOING TO COST 70 DOLLARS"

yeah...and I'll buy that the second it comes out

oh by the way GTA back then could be modded and modified. Lot more difficult to do that with GTA although FiveM has made it possible to play online. Shame nobody will be able to mod or alter GTA VI until like 2026. I'm telling you,m I wouldn't be surprised if everyone on GTA 6 had to play the shitty rockstar online crap. 20 people per game rofl. Nobody does that anymore. Even warzone has 200 people in it. And BF2142 tried to break the mold with 164 or whatever people. More is better.

"Just more people to grief you"

yeah that does suck. Dude that GTA V video of that guy going into the shop to alter his car and the second he got out someone fired an RPG at it. Wow looka t you with your f***ing flying bike. Nerd. Probably grinded all day for that. See Sega that's what those no life losers do. They wake up at 6 AM and grind GTA all day to get dumb shit like flying bikes and opressors

GTA now is more protective of their IP so you can't do what you could do in San Andreas just making a SA MP mod and having 200 people play in one server

GTA SA: f*** that I'm not going for 100% I'm just going to beat this game
GTA SA MP: spend 5 to 6 hours a day shitting around, driving around all 3 cities, getting griefed and respawning, arresting criminals in 200 player server as people tried to disconnect or quit to avoid being arrested

I don't care GTA SA MP was the best

you can't even do that with GTA Remastered now, and they took down GTA SA so you can't even download that game anymore.

No, it has to be the definite edition now.

Yeah I remember when GTA online grinding was considered doing the initial missions that paid f*** all.

I remember playing GTA Online the day Online was launched. For 2 vivid reasons…

A. It launched on my birthday :) :)

B. I think I ended up passing a kidney stone the next day. No joke. :amazed:

I don't know how people could play GTA V online though. You got all this money but you couldn't do anything with it. Wow, buy another house and car. Cool.

You could do so much more on RP servers. But you have to pay and be vetted and stuff to be on a GTA RP server which sucks. Maybe it's to prevent the griefers.

You know what the worst thing about GTA V was? I tried to do the Diamond Casino heist but kept getting kicked because my level was too low. So to raise my level I had no choice but to free the professor constantly. Do you know how many times I ran that jail mission, only to have someone else on the other side of the mission fail? MISSION FAILED: YOU COULDN'T GET THE PLANE OFF. Mission failed, the plane crashed. Lol

Even when everyone did their part and we got the professor out of jail, we would all ditch the jet and the mission would never pass. f***. Must have done that quest line hundreds of times for nothing.

Also if it's not that mission it's a predecessor mission before it. The Humana Labs raid was dumb too. Eventually you've played all the missions and your level hasn't gone up shit.

The best is when you're all in a mission, someone doesn't do something right, you fail, and nobody bothers to retry. No, if we do this again we can beat it.

All these streaming services and you can't watch SHIT on TV anymore.

Tried to watch the Office last night on my TV. ad to start the show. Fine. No problem. 5 minutes later another f***ing ad.

WTF?

Not even at the ad break too, in the middle of the show after they show Stanley and everyone in the break room. Why?

At that point I just gave up and watched on my PC. You can't watch shit on TV anymore without being bombarded by ads. Watch gambling on Youtube. 30 second ad to start the video, 5 minutes later another f***ing ad. Why?

Yeah the initial Heists weren’t all that great except for the bank one.

There’s a special place in hell for those who would just up and quit 3/4 through a heist causing you to immediately fail.

As I said the other day, GTA IV’s biggest problem was that it suffered from what I call “Oooooh!!!! Shiny Thingie!!!!” Syndrome.

Sure it looked absolutely stunning, but after you beat the storyline there was like f*** all to do after that.

That, and you were left with an assload of $$$ but nothing to spend it on.

Except hotdogs and hats.

The “3 Leaf Clover” bank robbing mission while fun… gave you too much $ too early on.

Yet Niko still whined throughout the rest of the game about being poor. :help:

hoping these gta's let you buy things

in SA you could buy clothing and food and so much. But in V you could barely go into any buildings.

Hoping that changes in 6.

Also the whole “You can choose to let this character live…or kill them” thing was….weird.

This is GTA. You shouldn’t have a moral conscience.

the reason SA was the best is you could go into so many cluckin bells and burger shots. you could also become a fatass by eating all day and if you were too fat you'd even be warned you couldn't complete the mission

remember when Wu Zi Mu complains if you're not able to swim well enough

sadly we haven't had anything like that since SA. Couldn't make Niko fat in IV or make Franklin or Michael fat.

every GTA since SA has allowed you to just breeze by the game. In GTA Vice City you couldn't even beat the game until you had 5 properties which meant a lot of grinding but a lot of gameplay too.

In GTA SA you couldn't even beat the game if you didn't swim for that mission, or fly for that old dude

That’s nothing.

In the original GTA you had no save states and could only “beat” each chapter by getting X amount of points.

That, and 1 shot killed you if you had no armor.
