I went on two cruises in my life

one was a royal carribean cruise through mexico

the other was a scandanavian cruise through Europe on one that wasn't a major company (not Carnival, NCL or Royal Corribean, not even Viking)

The bus tours are like 3x that.

I mean on a cruise you're getting like day long excursions but that is insanely cheap.

Almost makes me want to head on out to the petri dish and indulge myself...

he's not wrong

on a cruise they just assemble masses of people in groups and have them hit up hot tourist spots. barely have time to explore the area. "Be back here in 1 hour. Or we'll leave without you."

Rome one day. Then go back and ride the ship. Next day you're in Greece.

As the kids say it's speedrunning a vacation. And maybe some people like that. Me most of my trips were on bus rides. It's kind of the same except you get more of a chance to see scenery as you're going from place to place.

1. What does the bolded part even mean? :dunno:
2. Why would we "comp" food and drink? First of all basic meals are included already. Specialty dining you pay extra for.
3. Prices are like anything else in America.....based on supply & demand. Itineraries that sell well are priced high. Those that don't sell well are highly discounted.

If you are looking to spend lots of time in ANY city, then take a land vacation. You should be cruising if you want a taste of the ports of call & prefer the overall shipboard experience.

I have been meaning to ask this for eons as I’m curious….

Does our good friend @PanthersPens62 work in the cruise-line industry??
Yes.

We make a lot but you have to understand spending money for Asians is like trying to take a body part

We don't spend shit lol

And no one is forcing you to do it. Plenty of people stick to the main dining rooms & the buffet and enjoy them quite much.
What's in the main dinning room. Lamb?

The main dining rooms serve a wide variety of meats, fowl, seafood and anything else you would find in a decent land based eatery........yes including lamb. As I stated when I posted from my prior cruise, the lamb shank meal is one of my faves.
