For all the talk about Sens having an unsustainable PP, the Wings are having an even more unsustainable PP while having awful 5on5 chance generation and overall goals produced. Wings look awful in every way shape and form outside of goaltending so far.

Call me crazy but I think we comfortably make the playoffs a few weeks before the end of the season.

Honestly things haven’t been great in terms of outcomes but the way the standings are shaping up it’s in their hands completely whether they make the playoffs or not.

It’s a much better position than we have been in previous years. Let’s hope they keep playing the way they’ve been, that we stay healthy, and that our goalies give us average/good goaltending and I think we should make it.

Carolina played better than us.

The losses that hurt are the games against the Flyers and even Rangers where we completely dominated.

Those might hurt at the end of the season.

Vegas and Colorado hurt the most as we really should have had at least 3 points there. Philly sucked too. Another point pissed away (although it was on Ullmark entirely)

Rangers game, we just ran into one of the best goalies in the league

Cool we might get a desperate Oilers team tomorrow.

Just when it can't get any better!

^ It's true. First I thought, great we're getting Skinner. Than you watch EDM lay an egg and you know they're going to have a big rebound game.

Point percentage I'm assuming, they are 8th in the east

They aren't in the playoffs, in fact they are in 11th. But they have 3 games in hand on Boston, 1 on Islanders, and 2 on Philly, while being 1 and 2 points behind.
OK...I thought as much, but there is no guarantee we win all those games in hand (as you know).

If the trend continues, we will be fortunate to have a clear top 6 and then teams that are struggling around us.

If we can get some goaltending to compliment our overall play, I think we can create some space.

Sounds like the Bruins are firing Jim Montgomery, who might be the coach who has gotten the most out of his roster than any other coach in the league the past couple seasons.

I guess if you're the GM who signed Elias Lindholm (9 points in 20 games) to a deal that pays him almost 8M until he's 36, and Nikita Zadorov (5 points in 20 games) for 5M until he's 35, you're looking for a scapegoat.

And of course the Swayman contract holdout and taking on Korpisalo's contract looks terrible as well. 11M on a goalie duo who can't stop a beachball right now.

Boston has let go two very good coaches. Cassidy and Montgomery. Not sure who'll comes in and can turn it around

All of the Bruins' players are underperforming offensively, something had to give.
