VLC is a good video player, but it's definitely not the only good video player.

There's nothing that VLC does that a similar video player couldn't do as well.

Oh, by the way, Manjaro is allowing me to access the internet and run applications instead of Windows, which usually hijacks your screen with some progress page.

The only bad thing @LarryFisherman is that it wiped out my existing windows installation !

but that was windows 10 and there is barely anything on this laptop here in the kitchen
 
Yet another bullshit work project where I'm given shit directions and no help.

3 sheets telling me what hardware needs to be installed. Written by who and based on what? No f***ing clue.

Nothing telling me what needs to be done on the software side.

Makes me want to just throw my hands up and quit.

yeah, you have to build partitions if you want to dual boot - did you pay attention to the installer or just randomly click through?

VLC is available for manjaro too, FYI. Run:

Firefox is pretty stingy in vanilla form.

Is there a little shield icon on the address bar that's blocking content?
 
The more I look at this shit, the more it's plainly obvious that it's not going to work.

You can't just add hardware without changing the software to account for it.

Management thinks it will just work because they're f***ing morons.

I did pay attention to the instructions but during install it would not allow me to dual boot or set up partitions

well it did but it was too technical for a linux neophyte such as myself

There is literally no purpose to any work that's ever done in business.

We are forever changing directions, needing this, needing that, can't sell without this, blah blah blah

Every time I complete something it's on to the next, and the previous was never even used. I've maybe had three or four PRs actually make its way into a client environment. It sucks.

the directory, and the command
