As for the “Doom” franchise, gimme the original and Doom II thank you very much.
For a game that required such (at the time) insane PC specs, Doom III was/is a massively overrated, predictable, shitty jumpe-scare filled bore of a disappointment. And the lighting design was WAY TOO DARK!!!!
I played/beat Doom 3 when it was first released. I thought it was “meh” 20 years ago, I can’t imagine it holding up anywhere near as well as the first two Doom games still do today.
