If the US had beaten Europe they would not have laid down for the game against Canada just because it wasn't a must win. The US would still have tried to win tomorrow's game.
Well it's time for Team USA to put up or shut up. They built this team specifically to beat Team Canada. Let's see if they can do it.

not sure why you quoted my post to say this. It doesn't really have anything to do with my post which was that the game has now become a mathematical must win.
Obviously everyone tries in every single game, especially USA against Canada and vice versa because they always love to beat each other.

If USA beats both Canada and the Czech Republic in regulation, then they will make it to the semifinals, no matter how the Canada vs. Europe game goes.
It's a tall order but not impossible. USA has already proven they are capable of beating Canada in regulation, at least in one of the exhibition games. And USA should theoretically be capable of beating the Czechs in regulation.

Only reason they beat Canada in regulation was they played like it was game 7 of the SCF while Canada played like a regular season game and Carey Price was rusty after not playing for 10 months.
Good luck vs Canada in Canada tomorrow vs a well oiled machine and a goalie back to his game.
