He has proven far more then Josefson in less games... yet for the past 2 years people have been automatically writing in his name to the roster.

Just saying.

How is 12 points in 28 games proving anything?

Josefson had 10 points in his first 28 games as well playing on the 3rd line. What's the difference?

really hoping we sign him! will definently stack up our third line nicely out there.. this team can really have a lot of potential i feel if everyone works together and can click. So excited for this season and Schneider looked amazing yesterday as well.. i know it was only pre season but the rangers still had like 13 starting players out there so.. pumped

I'm pretty sure Brunner will make the team. Besides, I hearded he bulked up during that summer, he sais he's quicker and has more strengh.

But i hope his agent Sheehy don't bother again when the signature time will come. I assume it's his fault if Brunner didn't sign to the Wings. His agent told him he can win more and have bigger icetime in others teams. And we all saw the result.... And now he hopefully has this tryout.

Clowe and Brunner can be flip flopped.

Tedenby, Barch

Pretty deep forward unit.

Deepest we've had since early 2000s & better than the 2012 team me thinks. Every line can score, not just the top one.

That's pretty close to how I'd have it.

Now I'm sad about no teddy. I was a big hater, but if he really did improve and still doesn't play you gotta believe that will crush him.

I guess I'm still on the fence about Tedenby. Didn't get to see the game last night due to blackout restrictions. Hopefully he can prove me wrong. With the number of back-to-backs that are on the schedule, the 13/14th forwards might get more time than usual. There'll be injuries and maintenance days. Henrique didn't even get a permanent spot on the 2011-12 squad until Josefson got hurt early in the season.

Not sure it's deeper than the 08-09 team.

Parise - Zajac - Langenbrunner
Elias - Zubrus - Gionta
Rolston - Madden - Clarkson
Pandolfo - Holik - Shanahan

The names look good...but Madden, Shanny, Holik and Pandolfo were all pretty much done.

Just saying.

Loktionov - 26 points in 87 career games
Josefson - 22 points in 91 career games

How exactly has he proven "far more" than Josefson?

Who cares what fans perceive players have "proved"? Lotkionov has been a good player since he's been a devil. He looked good again last night. The same cant be said about Josefson. He's not getting a spot over Lokti. He's not as good as him right now. Watch the games, it's pretty damn clear.

In the hunt for the 4 remaining roster spots
Olesz
Gionta
Josefson
Tedenby
Loktionov

Not going to make the team
Barch
Matteau
Boucher
etc.

Brunner is better than all those fighting for a roster spot.. so signing him would only have 3 roster spots remaining (including one scratch). That's 2 very hard cuts and a third player that's a shame to leave on the bench.

Good problem to have but not an easy one to solve.

Man...no matter what happens with the kids fighting for a spot we're gonna be an absolute nightmare to play against

I agree. Josefson could be the man out , while Teddy might make the team with a strong camp. We need guys who can bury puck a lot more than guys that play good defense.
